Dr. Marcus Charles Mayer, MD

I am from Canada and was affected by sudden nose bleedings. I was referred to doctor Mayer by MD NOW (excellent for emergency). I was impressed by him, his attitude and the quality of the medical services he provided me with. I do not hesitate to recommend him to my fellow Canadians visiting Florida and affected by sudden ENT problems.

I am a 57 year old professional male. I have been to many doctors over the years, so I have a "base line" of experience dealing with different medical issues. I'd give him no stars if I could. This was quite possibly the WORST experience I've every had at a doctor's office. This guy (I can't even use the term Doctor to describe him) was an absolute jerk. He blasted into the examining room, didn't ask me ONE QUESTION and began telling me how I have suffered onset hearing loss. Then he looked in my ears and found some (little) wax and began removing it. (mind you, he didn't ask before). He hurt me in doing so. When I told him that he was hurting me, he asked me what I wanted him to do about it. The visit went down hill from there. I would actually report him to the AMA if I could.

Dr. Mayer knows his craft. He cured my hearing problem very quickly. His background is quite superior. I didn't have to wait long for my appointment with him. Very happy!

I had a deposit on my eardrum that was bothering me for some time. I called their office and spoke with Brian. I explained I wanted to come in and pay cash (in effort to avoid filling out long insurance forms) for a simple in and out procedure. He said the office visit would cost $180 plus the Doctors fees. I answered that I wasn't interest in paying close to $300 for a procedure that would take seconds to perform. I wound up purchasing a otoscope with an attached ear pick/scoop online for $10. I don't recommend this for everyone, especially if they are unsure about their own cautiousness or ability to slowly and safely perform this type of procedure. I literally took me less tan 60 seconds to clear my eardrum and I'm good as new. These types of medical offices get carried away with their fees and ripping off consumers and insurance companies.

Bedside manner abysmal. We asked him to help with the insertion of an apparatus. He said "do it yourself" Very disappointing for what is probably a competent doctor A shame when people aren't treated with respect

this doctor has a very incompetent nursing assistant who does not return phone calls and reports inaccurate test results. Dr. Mayer is fairly competent, his office staff stinks! Think twice about using this office!!!
