Dr. Margaret Mary Saracino, MD

This lady was so condescending & judgemental it was so appalling. Very upset & disturbed when leaving her office! She thinks a 16 delinquent should make her own treatment decisions & it’s better if her ONLY caregiver has nothing to do with her. Disgusting!!!

I have seen Dr Saracino for years. She is compassionate and actually listens!

This woman should not be a doctor ESPECIALLY one that works with kids. Is a condescending, labeling pill pusher. Only communicates with the dads and is flirtatious and inappropriate actually. Hard to comprehend that she is still in practice. Took my daughter elsewhere after just two visits.

In our experience, her answer to everything is to push more meds. Even when the reports are that mostly everything has been going well, if even one area isn't, she automatically just increases dosage or adds another pill. She has also refused to keep me, as the mother, informed in our child's treatment-even going so far as to not return phone calls and then claim to not get messages. I get pills here and am expected to give them to my son, without even knowing what they are. Oddly, she was very good about always offering to keep dad informed when I was the one bringing our child to all appointments, but as soon as dad decided to take charge, I never received a single phone call regarding med changes or anything else from her or her staff, and my phone calls were never returned. No, there was no animosity or any incident to cause her to avoid me. From school personnel to doctors to therapists, Saracino is the ONLY "professional" who has refused to include me in decisions or… discussions about my child's treatment. She doesn't keep me informed, and hasn't called me for my perspective. She finally called me recently, and now I think I understand that the reason probably was because I complained to her husband not knowing it was her husband about my concern over her not keeping me informed. Her behavior on the phone with me could not have been any more unprofessional, blaming every one else for her lack of communication. Also difficult to get appointments, long waits, and our child sees nurse practitioner more than her.

I was misdiagnosed as having "asperger's autism" when I was 17. I'm 32 now and def do not have it. A male doctor before her said I didn't but Saracino did and prescribed anti-depressants which I didn't need. What I needed was anger management classes.Psychs need to stop throwing that "asperger's" label around so freely because it's possible for teens to be shy or have other issues that prevent them from having friends at school. Maybe their geeks, maybe they have gender identity issues, and if they learned to speak at a later than usual age that ALSO doesn't automatically make them "autistic" or "aspie". Seriously, sometimes the problem is something simple that isn't a stigmatizing label that alienates you from your family.
