Dr. Maria Carina David, MD

Went for a well care check up and we were there for 2 hours! Took them 45 minutes to find the right size cuff to use for my kid's BP. Nurse said his BP was good but it wasn't according to doctor. Doctor failed to read medical file and was completely oblivious to his medical background when she walked in. Took 30 minutes after appoint to get paperwork, referrals and get the medical equipment we needed to take home. Got charged 3 times for one office visit. In my opinion, the office staff is rude, lazy, incompetent and will only do what is in their what seems to be very small job description. Good luck getting anything if the one staff member that handles what ever it is you need is off cause no one else is capable of helping. And the Boston Physicians Group billing is EXTREMELY rude as well.

Dr. David is hands down the best pediatrician . Dr David is so thorough that she found a tumor on a routine exam shortly before my grandson’s second birthday. The pediatric surgeons and oncologists at westchester medical center could NOT believe she could even feel it because it was half the size of what they normally see! Dr. David saved his life! There are no words that adequately express her compassion, patience , or level of skill....

Her office is over booked, under staffed, has long wait times, generally rude staff (tendency to parent shame), experienced many misdiagnosis for my two kids with quick referral to specialists (second opinions proved diagnosis wrong), generally only meet with nurse or NP (NOT David or her peers as generally overbooked or on vacation). We chose to leave and bring our kids elsewhere...the grass IS greener. Get rid of CHADIS...have a lengthy dialogue with your children and their parents when they visit. Outsourcing questions a doctor should be asking in person to a computer program eliminates the patient/doctor connection.

Dr. David and her caring staff provide an exceptional level of care and concern for their young patients. You will never feel like your children are just a number. Pediatrics is a calling for for Dr. David and it shows in her meticulous and skilled care. For those of you complaining about wait time, if your child has a critical issue, Dr David and her staff will give you the attention you need to resolve your issue. Please be ‘patient’! It’s worth the wait. Best pediatric care in the Hudson Valley.

I recommend Dr. David to everyone I meet. She is the best doctor.My children have been going to her for a very long time. I would pay out of pocket to go see her if I didn't have insurance. She truly cares about each and everyone of her patients.

Dr David is a smart and caring doctor. I am so happy to have her as my childs physican. Her staff and the other doctors in her practice in Newburgh are awesome.

Made an appointment with the Doctor to see my 12 year old daughter. We had concerns about our normal pediatrician and due to a gastro intestinal condition with our daughter we made the appointment. The office staff was polite and professional. Upon begining our appointment the FIRST concern the doctor had was if we were completely switching our primary to her from our normal pediatrician. Upon my explaining that we wanted her to examine our daughter and help her and then we would consider switching she refused. THE DOCTOR REFUSED TO EVEN EXAMINE OR HELP OUR DAUGHTER. We have a preferred medical insurance carrier so it wasnt an issue about insurance. The doctor said she does not give second opinions. "NO SECOND OPINIONS ABOUT MY COLLEAGUES" thats what she said. But taking their patients is ok I guess. THIS DOCTOR DOES NOT PUT HER PATIENTS FIRST RATHER HER PRIORITY IS HER COLLEAGUES. I have never, ever complained about anyone or anything. This doctor should be ashamed and rethink… her priorities.

Dr. David is the most wonderful Doctor in the area. She goes above and beyond to make you feel special, loved, and cared for at all the visits. Her staff is wonderful. I have two children who adore her. She checks up on my children even after office hours. I would follow Dr. David wherever she goes. There is NOONE like her, anywhere in New York State.

Very happy to have found this doctor. I have never had such a caring and considerate doctor in all my years as she has been to our family. Wouldn't trade her or her staff for ANYTHING.
