Dr. Maria Louise Rodriguez, MD

On my first visit, Dr. Rodriguez was nice and there were no issues. My tests came through fine and staff was abrupt but professional. Down the line I was having severe abdominal pain and was given a cat scan at the local er. The scan came back that I needed to have my gallbladder out but also recognized a couple of decent sized cysts over my ovary and top of the uterus. The er doc suggested I get it checked out with Dr. Rodriguez as I was also having heavy bleeding and so I had the results forwarded to her office and made an appointment. When I went in to see her she was very different/ her whole attitude towards me was aggressive, impatient, and downright uncalled for. She angrily said I was wasting her time and that the scan showed no cysts or any problems and implied I was making it up to get attention. I asked her if she was looking at the right scan/results because after the discussion with the er doc and results given to me it did say there were large cysts and I wouldn’t go to… her to waste my time and money. She punched the report with her finger and demanded I bring the report I received showing any issues because her report didn’t show anything. Unfortunately I left my report at home/I had been assured by her staff she had received it so I couldn’t ‘prove’ anything to her. Instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt or offering any help with the bleeding I received an undeserved tongue lashing. I left the office feeling horrible and later was called by her staff to say that there had been a mix up with the report with my name over another patient’s results/personal identification. She apologized and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I laughed and said ‘not even if I’m dying of cancer and she’s the last doctor on earth’. And that’s how I still feel about “Dr” Rodriguez. I certainly expected more from a fellow local/Santa Fe doctor.

Dr. Rodriguez explains everything thoroughly and instills confidence. I'd highly recommend her. She got me in to see her right away.

Kind, gentle, knowledgeable. I am an RN and had a complicated problem. Dr Rodriguez was excellent.

She did an excellent job on my hysterectomy. I chose her and this area carefully. I could have went anywhere but I knew she was the right doctor for me. She never treated me like a medicaid recipient. She was kind, gentle and compassionate. She sent me to a private room afterwards. All the nurses and staff were so hife and took great care of me, except the morning nurse, she was a bit cold. But im so grateful for all them.

Dr, Rodriguez and her nurse Lola, make a fabulous team. I love them both. Maria a wonderful surgeon. Her bedside manners are remarkable. I felt I was taken care of with her and her nurse. I will recommend Dr. Rodriguez to any women that needs surgery. Her reception lady needs, work. I really didn't care for her, but once you go beyond that front door and meet ,Lola with her great smile it's worth it. ,

Maria is a great surgeon. I had large fibroids, had the full hysterectomy & recovered quickly. She's very traditional, said I wouldn't need progesterone, since I didn't have a uterus, which if you've studied hormones is not true. Also had she recommended hormones earlier, I might not have needed the surgery. Low progesterone and fibroids are highly related.

Moved to SF from SoCal and never had a chance to find a GYN. Started suffering from intense pain due to a bladder sling installed several years ago. Dr. Rodriguez and her nurse Lola were amazing. They handled me with TLC, and were very kind and helpful. Lola made me smile and even chuckle a few times with her welcoming sense of humor and compassion. I have never been so pleased to go through such a painful experience and be in the hands of Dr. R and her staff.

I've been to lots of different Dr. in my life time and I have never been so satified with anyone like Dr. Rodriguez. I have recommended her to every women I know.
