Dr. Marian Hyun-Chung Pak, DO

I received a referral to this office and tried calling to make an appointment on two different days. Both days someone picked up the phone, immediately placed me on hold for 5 minutes and then would hang up on me. Completely unprofessional. I found a different, more competent office.

I do not recommend this doctor. I would give zero stars if I could. The office is clean and the staff is nice, but she has no solutions to offer you unless you’d like to take birth control. I was her patient for one year and saw her three or four times. On the last visit she had the audacity to sit in front of me nine months pregnant and ridicule me and because I did not want to take birth control. I am in my early 40’s and want to have a child. I have suffered from extremely heavy and debilitating periods. I have previously had very poor reactions to BC and since I have limited time to become a mother I do not want to prevent pregnancy. Additionally, even though it was found that I have two uterus and suffer debilitating periods after a year of visits and asking for no pain medicine (I use it so sparingly I didn’t run out of my prescription from 2 years prior until then), she nearly refused to give me any. She told me not to expect it again and gave 10 pills 2mg when I usually… take 10mg. Additionally she would not prescribe my thyroid hormone even though she tested my thyroid levels at each visit, and I have taken the same dose for 20 years. Having thyroid imbalance absolutely effects both your ability to conceive and having regular healthy periods. She also refused to check my hormone levels. I was bleeding all month long and having almost every symptom of hormone imbalance. After I left her office I did my own research and ordered some herbs, vitamins, and natural progesterone cream and things have GREATLY improved for me. She made a couple errors in in my time as a patient, but I let those slide because we are all human. What I won’t let slide is a doctor judging my life, beliefs or desires. If you would like to be prescribed birth control pills for any ailment go see her! That’s all she knows how to do, and if you are lucky perhaps she will sit smugly in front of you 9 months pregnant, judge you, and tell you it’s unlikely you will get pregnant.

Dr. Joon Choi, many warm thank yous for bringing aboard Dr. Marian Pak to your team. She is absolutely a great and a thorough doctor. To everyone out there I highly recommend Dr. Marian Pak as she is gentle, she listens to one's concerns and offers quality patient care. When I got home I called a few of my friends and informed them I found a gem of a GYN, plus she is a female doctor, and an OB. Thank you Dr. Marian Pak for being amazing, and for caring about my concerns and answering my questions. The front desk was wonderful as well, thank you Christina for your welcoming personality and for scheduling me for my other appt.
