Dr. Marianna Koczywas

If I continued with Dr Koczywas I would be dead. Uncaring, ignorant, lazy and rude. Thank god I did not listen to her. Eleven years cancer free after having been heavily treated by her to no avail. I left her with recurrent lung cancer. I am cured now by caring, resourceful, inquisitive and thoughtful doctors. Run.

This doctor was rude to my mom on the day she told her she would not be receiving any more treatment for her lung cancer and would be going on hospice care. Can you imagine an oncologist at a place called city of hope being mean and impatient with someone for not wanting to accept that they’re dying? This doctor is a disgrace and should quit the field. It will haunt me forever that my mom came home not only in despair she would be dying, but feeling like she was talked down to and ignored.

If you are someone with lung cancer do not pick this doctor. If she is assigned to you at City of Hope you have the right to request another oncologist. . She is not the Dr. you want and should not be practicing at City of Hope where people go for the best care. She gives up on your end of life decisions and does not even return your phone calls to help in making end of life decisions. She gives up on you.; So disappointed and HIGHLY DISSATISFIED!

this MD deserves a true 0 rating. This is the most unprofessional and unethical doctor I have ever seen. Does not care for her patients for even a minute, never has the time to discuss the most serious diagnosis. She gets upset when the patient asks a questions and always is in a hurry. She literally spends 3 minutes for appointments and does not care to discuss any options or treatment plans available. She has no concern about her patients or their well being. I have asked the front office/administration to be seen by another MD, but was always told that it is almost impossible because I had to go through some pt. advocacy group, get their approval and jump many hoops to do so, and even then, it would be their discretion. Please do not go to this doctor if you want to get assistance, ask a question, discuss your options or get help with a serious diagnosis. Go to anyone else but not her if you desire to live and get well. The most uncaring and unprofessional doctor I have ever… encountered. She sees her patients as numbers/statistics.
