Dr. Marianne V. Cusick

This lady is a very experienced surgeon and not a novice . She has a wonderful personality and is not arrogant . She is very easy to like. I saw her in a difficult situation and was first seen by her colleague , who seemed like a coward and would not tell me the hard things that I needed to hear about my condition. He tried to get rid of me . She faced the hard issues with confidence and is trying to make a plan to navigate my condition. You will like her I am certain and she has hundreds of good reviews because she deserves them.

Dr. Cusick is a very knowledgeable surgeon, and Avery nice person. I had to have a colon resection done. Every thing went good for me and recovery was very quick. I thank Dr Cusick for her good work!

Dr. Cusick is an excellent physician. She is a skilled surgeon who is able to take care of complicated issues. She is very professional , honest and to the point. She explains things well without being cold or stuffy. She expresses genuine concern for her patients and has a gentle healing touch. Thank you for you care !

My appointment was for 11:30 am. They called me the morning of the apt at 9:30 am (2 hours prior to the apt) and told me the doctor had to leave the office at 11:30 and I would need to be there an hour earlier or reschedule. I could not rearrange my morning on such short notice, so I had to cancel. I will not be rescheduling. You shouldn't do patients this way (in my opinion).

Dr Cusick attended to me while she was a resident or fellow w the Colorectal Clinic in Houston at St Lukes Hospital in the Texas Med Center summer 2013. I had went into the ER and was admitted a few days after being released from a ileopouch bypass surgery and blood clots had formed inside,i lost alot of blood and went in nearly passing out with a below 6 count. I was admitted and when she came in to clean out my wound before being released i wondered why i hadnt been given a blood transfusion and was snapped at by her ( bad day maybe?),' we dont want to waste more health care dollars on you!' she sneered. Ok i had( still have) good insurance from my employer,even if not she was still getting paid and upholding her Hippocratic Oath to attend to and treat the patient no matter what! I did not need to be told that or treated in that rude fashion no matter my economic status. I hope future and current patients are treated better by her. I based on that experience wouldnt recommend her at… all.
