Dr. Marilanne Johnson, MD

Dr Marillane Johnson was amazing. I am typically very uncomfortable in any doctors facility, but she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She was nice and answered my infertility questions. I am now pregnant and extremely sad that i will not be able to continue with Dr Johnson as my OBGYN.

I have been going to Dr. Johnson since the beginning of her working in Glen Ellyn. I give great trust in someone analyzing our private areas. I heard that she might be retiring from a friend who also uses her and I dread finding another Dr. I also felt I needed to review her since I see a few bad reviews. She has always been friendly and I feel very comfortable around her...well as much as you can in an exam. She talks through what she is doing and goes over what you need to know. For those complaining that she recommends another specialist, that's what you want!

Dr. Johnson was my OB in 2004 - yes, that long ago - and to this day I still regret choosing her. She was cold, impersonal, didn’t answer questions or explain things adequately. I had issues began during my pregnancy (carpal tunnel, panic attacks) that I made her aware of at several of my appointments. She would never engage in any discussions with me regarding these issues, but would coldly smile at me and tell me that there was a primary care practice located in the building that I could make an appointment with to address those matters. I am ever so thankful that she was not the doctor on call the day I delivered. Now almost 15 years later I still remember what an unpleasant doctor she was and her lack of care and concern.

Dr Johnson excellent, she was so great taking care patients, some did not understand, she was explaining step by step until patient was understanding I loved had her of my family doctor,I appreciated Dr Johnson

Dr. Johnson happened to be the doctor on call when I was induced with my second baby. I cannot praise her highly enough, given I didn't know her well at the time. She advocated strongly for my and my husband when the hospital treated us poorly regarding scheduling the induction. I appreciated her straightforward, no-nonsense matter. She explained the process of the induction in detail, asked me lots of questions, and let me take control of my birth experience. At one point, she even said she would let me decide when and if I wanted pitocin during labor. During the time I had to push, she was reassuring and in control at the same time. I am SO HAPPY with how my labor and delivery went with her.

I have stopped seeing Dr. Johnson due to her lack of concern, poor bedside manner and overall poor attitude. Also, the nurses at the DuPage Medical Group office by Stratford Square are so rude and unfriendly.

Dr. Johnson is rude and condescending. She ran a gamut of tests on me for fertility testing but did not ever explain the results and told me I needed to see a specialist. Even when I asked questions she failed to answer them thoroughly. I am fed up and have given up on Dr. Johnson, it's time to find a new doctor that cares. Also, the nurses at the Stratford Square office are rude and unprofessional.

Marilanne Johnson does not care for her patients, she refused to fill pregnancy leave form for my wife, and send her back to work with severe pain in 8 months of her pregnancy. I tried to call her supervisor Cindy Tygart but she never answer her phone and did not call me back even I left her my phone number and the reason for my call. Stay away from this doctor and Du Page Medical group they will treat like a no human.

Dr. Johnson is great, she is so compassionate, caring and thorough, I wouldn't see anyone else.
