Dr. Marjorie Ruth Levitan, MD

Dr. Marjorie Levitan is a doctor of seasoned experience. She is skilled and knows how to detect illnesses in the body with the appropriate testing and suggestions towards healing. I miss her as my doctor and I pray for her. It is unfortunate that due to my current situation at hand, I had to find another doctor. However, there will be never quite a doctor such as Dr. Marjorie Levitan.

Dr. Levitan has been my doctor for 22 years. She is thorough and takes time to know her patients. There has been a change in my life and as a result, I had to change doctors. The decision was almost heart-wrenching because I had grown to her professionalism, and her expertise. Even though she is no longer my Doctor, she is one of the most diligent and resourceful doctors I have ever known. I am recommending her care to my close friends it they ever stand in need.

Dr. Levitan treated my neighbor with a serious lung illness. Over a few years I saw first-hand how patient and caring she was and when my Doctor retired I became Dr. Levitan's patient. I count myself to be fortunate indeed to find this gem in NYC. Her office is not fancy and there is often a waiting time but the care is excellent. Highly recommend if you're looking for a doctor you can trust. _/\_

Dr. Levitan is an excellent doctor. She has been my doctor for many years and I fully trust her. She is dedicated to serving the people that she serves.

Dr. Levitate is not prompt because she takes as much time as necessary with each patient. She is worth waiting for because you know you will get the same caring and thorough attention.

My cousin is battling Stage IV cancer and has had a myriad of health problems over the course of her life. She has been in Dr. Levitan's care for years. The level of care and attention that my cousin has received from Dr. Levitan and her office is truly remarkable. She knows everything about my cousin's case, care and up to the minute status and was able to guide me on issues related to my cousin's care (I am the health care proxy) as well potential outcomes. My cousin quite literally trusts Dr. Levitan with her life and, after working with her, I understand why. She has great insight, cares and understands and possesses great bedside manner.

Dr. Levitan has been my family doctor since she came on board at the HIP/Continium Center at Amsterdam Avenue. She is an exceptional doctor, knowledgable, compassionate, dedicated and I cannot say anything to the contrary. Dr. Levitan will explore all avenues to ensure that your medical condition is properly diagnosed and treated. She is known to put in many hours, whether in her office, or at the hospital, to ensure that her patients are getting the proper care. She refers you to specialists that she would use herself, and all of her colleages have nothing to say but good things about her. You might have to wait a while at her office to see her, but you can bet that you will receive the same quality treatment that she gives to all her patients. She is well worth the wait!!!! A true rare find!!!!

I would first like to make clear that this doctor is knowledgeable but not experienced with trigeminal neuralgia patients. However as a current patient and victim of this chronic pain disease she is compassionate, refers you to great people who share her same committment to overall health. This condition requires knowledge but it also requires patience, compassion, and the willingness to listen and understand how much pain and discomfomfort a patience can experience. Always advocate for yourself but when you cannot this doctor will and can.

She's the best doctor that I've ever had. Caring, thorough, great staff. She puts time into each and every patient, checking every detail. She has an amazing bedside manner. I would have kept her forever if I hadn't moved out of state and I would recommend her to anybody.

Dr. Levitan is an amazing doctor. Dr. Levitan's professionalism and care that she demonstrates speaks volumes of her work ethic as a physician, character as a human being and adamant commitment to preserving and improving the health of every one she comes in contact with. She saved my son's life and saved mine. Dr. Levitan is a constant reminder that there are still amazing people in the world. The one obstacle is because she is so thorough with each patient, the wait can be long. It is worth it!!!!!!!! Bring your phone, your tablet, a book - when it is your turn, it is your time to be treated by one of the best physicians in the NYC area.
