Dr. Marjorie Jane Laurie Smith, MD

Dr Smith is listed as neurologist but works as a psychiatrist in a locked unit at Landmark Medical, admitting patients held against their will who have rights to least restrictive environment. False diagnosis. Exceptionally poor, arrogant person. Unprofessional.

Dr Marjorie Smith works in the locked ward of Landmark Medical Center Woonsocket RI ( PrimeHealth LLC India). She claims to be a psychiatrist. Run if you can. She seemed at first to be sweet. But then told me untrue information about important cause for my stay. Her diagnosis is thrown as if for political purposes and she refuses to address questions. She kept people with disabilities ( blind, TBI, etc.) locked in the unit against their will for up to a year, under false medical diagnosis in a unit without any windows for fresh air. I asked her to meet. She responded that patients don’t tell her what to do. She commands patient's to obey her orders or continue to be locked in a most restrictive environment, violations of the ADA, title 40.1-5-6, etc. This unit is taking Medicare to o POay for essentially imprisonment where the key is Dr Smith’s approval of their release. She has full power over people’s freedom. LMC needs to be closed down too and she needs to retire.

She is excellent at diagnosing your issue, and putting it in a way that is informative, yet very caring. She’s very “human” and her bedside manner could not be better! I cannot say enough good about this woman who guided me through the first dozen or so years of my disease. I only wish I could have cloned her and brought her along to Maryland when my husband uprooted us!
