May be he cares only about the critically ill patients and shows no respect to any others. Always late to his appointment and always long wait even in the exam room. He spends only not more than 10 minutes with my mom after at least an hour of wait. Always rescheduling appointment because he’s busy. So why do you have clinic?

Handles patient like just a number and hurries up to the next, only cares about how many he sees per day. He spent only 5 minutes with me (just looked away staring into his computer), he didn't care to look into my face or test on me, not even a stethoscope touch! Then he sent $440 bill in the mail after charging my insurance another $1,000+!

Dr. Canales is an amazing cardiologist. He listens to you. I am a female who was under the care of a cardiologist in Houston who literally kept putting me off when I told him how tired I was. This went on for 4 years until it was determined I had a severe aortic insufficiency. Dr. Canales takes everything I tell him seriously and has never treated me with anything but the most respect. He saved my husband's life by diagnosing blockages in his heart. Another doctor was going to treat him with medication. He was way too bad for that. Dr. Canales then transferred my husband to a cardiac surgeon and my husband is still with me today. I can't say enough good about this wonderful doctor. Sometimes I have had to wait a while to see him but he is so worth it.

Dr. Canales listens to me and doesn't rush through my appointment. He takes my symptoms seriously. I am very pleased with him as my cardiologist and recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent physician.

Dr. Canales is experienced and is one of the best cardiologists in San Antonio. I have been going to him for a long time and wouldn't even consider changing. He is so compassionate with a wonderful personality and sense of humor. He's professional yet friendly and he truly cares about YOU! I highly recommend him.
