Dr. Mark Philip Gold, MD

I will say I liked Dr. Gold when he was able to diagnose me with a rare condition that I had been misdiagnosed with many years ago. Though, that was my only reason for liking him. When my rare condition showed up yet again only 6 months later, knowing very well the pain associated with this, he brushed me off and offered no guidance, referral to specialist or even a simple explanation. He also never followed up to see how I was doing after my initial call. Only after I went to his office to obtain all my files was he then interested - he was also rude, uncaring, and condescending while I was still in severe pain. For this event alone, I will not be returning to his office and I urge everyone else to stay far away. I will also mention his terrible bedside manner… at my first appointment he couldn’t simply say “scoot down to the end of the table”, he gripped both my ass cheeks and pulled me to the end of the table… beyond disrespectful and disgusting. He also makes you come in for a FULL… exam every 6 months if you want him to write you a birth control prescription…never heard of that in my life. Do not trust Dr. Gold with your health or even the decency as a human being.

After 17 or 18 years of being Dr. Gold's patient , it is UNFORTUNATE that the Office didn't accept my NEW Medicare with Supplemental Insurance. It is very sad to change my beloved Dr. because of the Insurance change. Also my Insurance is accepted by most of the very famous Specialist in Manhattan but NOT in Dr. Gold Office. By the way, he is the best, all these years he took care of my health beautifully, I wish him all the best.

I loved being Dr. Golds patient. He is an amazing professional and great OB. I had my first pregnancy with him and obviously had tons of questions. He spend the time to answer all of my questions and gave me great recommendations. He is very serious and tells you the things the way they are without sugarcoating anything. Some women feel that this is impersonal, but to be honest I much rater have a strong, stern doctor rather than one that pleases you and tells you what YOU want to hear. Delivery is a serious business so I wanted a serious doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone.I had a c section, he did not force me into making any quick decisions, we waited 41 weeks so I had my chances of delivering vaginally, but at the end when things got serious, he helped me to make the right choice and have the surgery. The surgery went great, I recovered super fast, went home after 3 days, my scar is almost gone after a month.He did a GREAT job

Went to Dr. Gold because he was located close by and his rating weren't so bad. The experience I had there was awful though. I got there an my appointed time the receptionist said he would be right with me but I waited over an hour. I had to give a urine sample and the restroom was dirty. The exam room was old-looking machine, cold and uncomfortable. When he came in he spoke nicely but was rushing the procedure and was very rough. His nurse wasn't all take nice nor hygienic.

This doctor is all about the money.He had very little interest in doinga yearly exam and was rough doingthe Pap test. I felt like I wasjust one more patient that he couldn'twait to get rid of. Never again.I will find a doctor that is a little more interested in his patients.
