Dr. Mark Grinman, MD

My son was taken to Lovelace Downtown hospital due to a flare up of CIDP) Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. My son has had several visits to Lovelace to receive IVIG treatments to help him regain movement. On 04/01/2022 he was taken in and seen by the ER doctor who reviewed his medical records and said that they would probably admit him and give him IVIG. We sat in the waiting room for approximately 6 hours before the ER doctor called us in an exam room and told my son that the Neurologist, Dr. Grinman, did not think that my son had CIDP but that he had PTSD, from 5 years earlier when he was completely paralyzed (except for his eyes) for 10 month before he started breathing on his own. My son absolutely has PTSD, but that was not causing him to lose the use of his arms and legs. We asked to speak the Dr. Grinman, but he refused to talk to us and only provided my son with a round of steroids and sent him home. My son has been treated twice since that day and he is… completely paralyzed. Dr. Grinman is a horrible excuse of a doctor and would not let him treat my animals. Please think twice before letting him treat you.

I find all neurologist not to have the best bed side manner. I didn't like Dr. Benz at all, although he may be good,he never had eye contact with me, he was a little rude, and spent all his 5 minutes with me staring at his computer. I also did not like Dr. Benjamin, I found him rude, I compassionate, and when speaking to me he spoke to my breasts. So overall I like Dr. Grinman the best, he looks at me and listens and does seem to care.
