Dr. Mark Stephen Mctammany, MD

I had no insurance sadly for a few years due to my divorce and now I have it again and find Dr. McTammany has retired? Years ago?? Without any warning or a letter that I can recall??? I too, need my medical records! Please, if anyone finds out how to get their records, please leave a message here! I’ve read the comments below and find it disheartening and inappropriate to leave so many women without their medical information available! Sheesh!!!

I am very surprised and disappointed that no one was contacted of his office closing and his retiring from the profession. Has anyone found a way to obtain medical records? If so, please post. I was still receiving notifications for annual check up until December 2023. WTF! :(

If anyone finds out how to get our medical records please let us know. Thank you so much.

...add on to last review (04/21/2023) & original reason I was writing this, I just received a text mesg yesterday alerting me that my annual is due, plz call office to schedule. To me, looks like they left alot of loose ends, all done in a hurry to get out of dodge, unfortunately his patients suffer

Me & my daughter have been a patient for few yrs & never had any problems til he retired. They called my daughter middle of Dec. 2022 & left a mesg that doc's retiring end of Dec call for records, etc. at the same time I'm getting a mesg that it's time for my annual plz call to schedule. Obviously confused we spent the precious 2wk notice he gave calling the office many, many times, never could get thru just like the other reviewer said, rings & rings no option for leaving a mesg, no help whatsoever. We deserved alot more communication & time to at least get our records. We look to our docs as support, we've all got stuff going on & this was an all time disrespectful move.

This guy just retired without giving his patients any notice. I discovered he was retired when I called to try to get a prescription refilled. He had been retired almost 3 months. There is a recording on his phone saying patients can get their records by going to the patient portal on his web site. There is NO PATIENT PORTAL on his website. It also says you can leave a voice mail and someone will get in touch with you about your records. The message is on an endless loop and there is NO opportunity to leave a message. i have let it go as long as 10 minutes, two different times. There is NO way to leave a message. The office is locked up with a sign on the door. Apparently no one even works there any more. My medical records are in some black hole with no possibility of my getting them.

I had a miscarriage at the end of my first trimester and it was handled so poorly. I wasn’t given any options or walked through what to expect. I went through this painful experience (emotionally and physically) totally alone. When I called with questions the staff was cold. I was never checked in on, it was the worst health care experience of my life. Please choose another OBGYN, one who will value you and the little life you’re bringing into this world.

All the woman in my family go to Dr Mctammany and is a great doctor. He delivered two of my grandchildren, my daughter loves him, my mother had a huge cyst that Dr Mctammany found and remove surgically and is now good and I see him for yearly check ups. I call his office for refills for medicine and they are better than my PCP doctor is getting it taken care of. I would never go to another OB/GYN and I have experienced a few before finding Dr McTammany.

Neither the doctor nor the staff ever get back to you when you call. Results of tests are ignored and patients are never called, even when there is a medical problem. Don't waste your time going to this doctor - there are many others in the area who actually care about their patients.
