Dr. Mark Hopkins Mirabelli, MD

We went to Mirabelli based off a professional medical referral to diagnose our child's source of pain. He was impatient and spent less than 5 minutes with us to say there's nothing he can do. He suggested over the counter pain patches for something that was later diagnosed as a more complicated medical issue. He pushed back on our concerns and stated 'most parents want to avoid the surgical route'. So he decided for us? We were not given information on this spinal abnormality, let alone options. Getting a second opinion as this was a complete waste of time.

Great MD. Spent quality time with me, making sure I was aware of everything involved with gel injections. Very personable. Had resident with him and seemed to enjoy teaching about what was going on. Best orthopedic I've had.

I visited this doctor for a second opinion 3 months after falling on flexed knees. I am a 100 pound women who prior to my fall hiked 15 miles a week. I was really there hoping to get an MRI. After examination by his PT. I was convinced that my lingering knee pain and altered gait was due to OA, even though an orthopedist had diagnosed me with bone bruising. Cortisone shots were suggested for both knees. I refused because of known side effects and because I am very sensitive to steroids. I was told NONE of the steroids is systemically absorbed and that the injections would take down inflammation so I agreed. A MASSIVE dose of Betamethasone (12 mg) was injected into each knee. On reading the after visit notes I saw my OA was mild. I also learned that a considerable amount of the Betamethosone is systemically absorbed and this is well known. 3 weeks hence not only is my knee pain worse, I have gained five pounds and now have a buddah belly (was flat before) and a puffy face. … Avoid this doctor like the plague. He does not care about his patients.

Dr Mirabelli took a great deal of time with me. He is the only Dr who took the time to thoroughly discuss my condition, causes, prognosis, and all treatment options and their cost and viability. I finally feel like I have a team and the tools I need to Optimize my outcome. Thank you Dr Miribelli, Dr Smith and staff.

He thinks he is better than everyone else. Judges patients by their insurance but works in a facility with mostly medicaid. He does not care about his patiens just his paychecks.

Dr. Mirabelli is prompt, professional & explains things so I can understand them. I trust him 100% and have had other orthos I wouldn't pay a penny for. I hope he stays in practice & in the Rochester area forever! I'd even pay out of pocket just to keep him as my Dr.

My visit was the biggest waste of time. He did absolutely nothing to help my condition. He only spent 3 minutes with me. I was seen by a P.A. first who was not very knowledgeable. I need to find another orthopedist.

He is the best doctor I have ever had. He has knowledge in so many fields. He's my all in one doctor and I love it!!
