Dr. Mark Richard Newman, MD

Dr Mark Newman was the most wonderful dr I ever had . Because of him I am living in FL at 70 years old . He diagnosed & caught my testicular cancer in 1980 . Because of him , dr Jeffrey Glasser & dr James Wernz oncologist I am alive . This happened in 1980 . I moved away from NYC in 1992 & continued to fly up every year for physicals —- until it became necessary to have a primary care physician here in FL Mark Newman is a great doctor & a fabulous human being . He always had patience for me & my family . I pray every night that he is well & happy . I credit him for giving me my whole adulthood !

Dr. Newman has been my internist for a number of years and has been wonderful. He has been very thorough, responsive when I've been ill, referrels have been excellent, he has been caring, smart and extremely dependable. Recently however he has changed. I had a recent illness during which he was practically impossible to reach(over a period of a couple of weeks during which I was quite ill) ) - he gave poor advice, and seemed uncharacteristically unconcerned and uninvolved despite my two visits to the emergency room and a week long stay in the hospital. Most of the time he was unreachable and when I finally did speak with him he seemed totally uninterested and seemed to not want to be bothered. This total change in behavior has been very unnerving. I feel quite deserted by my primary care doctor.

SAW THIS DOCTOR FOR 25+ YEARS. MISDIAGNOSED WITH A BENIGN CONDITION, TURNS OUT IT WAS SLOW GROWING CANCER. BECAUSE I WAS NEVER SENT TO A SPECIALIST, THE CANCER STAYED IN MY BODY GOING INTO MY BLOOD STREAM. IF HE JUST SENT ME TO A SPECIALIST FOR A BIOPSY THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. NOW I SEE ALOT OF SPECIALISTS AND HAVE MANY TESTS AND PROCEDURES THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED IF MY CANCER WAS CAUGHT IN ITS EARLY STAGES. HE'S A "NICE GUY" BUT BE SURE TO GET OTHER OPINIONS FROM SPECIALISTS IF HE'S YOUR PCP.
