Dr. Mark Nikkel, DO

This man should have his licensed provoked because he is incompetent! How do you not know that a sign of infection after total knee replacement is increased Pain and why wouldn’t you test your patient for a metal sensitivity before surgery? I’ll tell you why because this doctor is incompetent and all about the money! He doesn’t care about you after he has done the surgery and he even told me after surgery when he saw me “the rest is up to you and it was how he said it” If I could give no stars I would have. I hope this helps others, I don’t want anyone else to go through what I’m going though from 2011 still to now 2019

Dr. Nikkel replaced both of my knees and I couldn't be more satisfied. He was very informative and calmed all my fears. I would highly recommend Dr. Nikkel if you need joint replacement. He is AWESOME!!!!!!!

Dr. Mark R. Nikkel is simply the most friendly, compassionate and wonderful surgeon! He is an asset to the South Haven Health System and the whole SW Michigan community. As a patient of Dr. Nikkel's in Chicago and now Michigan, I respect his dedication to helping me get well and his motivating words of encouragement. A good man, a great surgeon!

Dr. Mark Nikkel, DO was seen at new practice in South Haven, Michigan. He is a passionate surgeon with you tge patients best interest first always! He is so friendly, knowledgeable and courteous to you every visit! I have had 2 surgeries with Dr. Nikkel ! He is a great Surgeon! His staff is wonderful too!

He let me get injured in the operating room. Then after the surgery dr. nikkel and ingalls left me to find my own care.

He has operated on my husband twice. He did a wonderful job. He was very courteous and competent. I would recommend him to anyone.

My Mom just called to say she went to a new Dr. today and what a great man he is. He doesn't realize it but he was an intern when my Mom had surgery years ago. She was very happy today with his reading of the x-rays and diagnosis and yes, even the shot. She said he was kind, efficient and wonderful giving her what she needed!! Great doctor!

I took my mother in law to Dr Nikkel for her knee. He encouraged her to get a knee replacement. He assured her not a big deal he could fix her knee. I wish now we went to see another doctor. He was working with a senior who had many illnesses. We had surgery and he did get her knee fixed. Problem after that she caught a germ at the Rehab got C Diff and passed away very quickly. My mother in law be here today if she was not told get the surgery or you will end up in a wheelchair. My mother in law passed days after her 1st granddaughter was born. Good surgeon if your in good health.

I feel like many doctors, Dr Knikkle maybe is suggesting surgeries unnecessarily. Please don't get me wrong cuz I do believe in some cases it may be necessary, like when he did my knee replacement, at that time I was in horrific pain, but on another visit again years later, I was having knee pain & he was quick to suggest another knee replacement and right away of course I refused because my knee was not hurting like my previous one and since then almost a year later I am doing fine, although on occasion it does hurt but the pain is not horrific for another knee replacement! I think Dr Knikkle is great doctor and either he or his staff should follow up on the patients which sadly they don't, at least in my case!
