He was previously an Associate Professor of Surgery and Program Director for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency and Fellowship Training Programs at UCLA. He then served as chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the UK College of Medicine and Children's Hospital. He recently held a position as an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and …a Pediatric and Congenital Heart surgeon at the Children's Hospital of Illinois Congenital Heart Center.
