Dr. Mark Vernon Reichman, MD

4 years ago he successfully removed a meningioma tumor from behind my husband Brad’s left ear, but through negligence and lack of care left him with meningitis. Brad deathly allergic to adhesive tape. We stayed this over and over to dr, nurses, intake staff...everyone. Brad had on an alert bracelet. But adhesive tape was used. 6 hours after surgery I spotted it. There was already signs of a terrible reaction. Staff quickly removed tape. Over the next few days pain was dreadful and dr didn’t listen, spent time flirting with the nurse and basically told my husband he was being a baby for asking for more aspirin. Meanwhile infection is festering. 2 days after surgery, Brad’s ear had swollen so much it was alarming to the dr (he only really looked at it after I threw a fit to the nursing staff). He got the swelling under control and were discharged 5 days after surgery, 2 days behind dr’s schedule. Meanwhile infection is still festering...meningitis. 24 hours after being discharged I… almost buried my husband. We rushed back to the hospital and was assigned an entire infectious disease team. Brad spent another 4 days in the hospital. We should have sued (infectious disease team thought it was bacterial meningitis most likely caused by the adhesive tape)...but didn’t. We refused to go back. It has taken 4 years and symptoms to return to seek another dr.

If you value what you love, don’t go

I had hemi facial spasm for 12 years. I saw many doctors who either didn’t know what it was or their only answer was Botox. I had myovascular decompression surgery from Dr. Reichman and I haven’t twitched since waking up from surgery. Truly life changing!! He knew what it was from our first visit and was confident he could fix it and he did!! I will forever be grateful to him. Very good doctor. Probably the best in the state. I would recommend him to anyone!

Excellent and very knowledgable doctor. He came highly recommended by other doctors which is the ultimate reference in my book. He performed neck surgery on my husband. The outcome was excellent. Love Dr. Reichman’s style - he is direct and right to the point. We don’t want a doctor that coddles us - we want a doctor that knows his stuff and gets the problem fixed. Dr. Reichman did just that and we can’t thank him enough.

Dr. Reichman is one of the smartest and kindest Dr.'s and people I have ever had the pleasure to know. He saved my husbands life, and we will be forever grateful.

The worst Dr I have ever been to. Had to have 2 revision surgeries to fix what he did.

I am a nurse and was referred to Dr. Reichman. I had needed back surgery from a car accident from 25 years before. He explained the procedure well . Seemed very intelligent . After surgery which I cried for about 8 hours straight after. The pain medicine didn't even touch my pain. I had undiagnosed sleep apnea . The doctor told my husband I was so overweight the pain medicine wasn't working . After being put on oxygen I did better but , I went back for a follow up with my very pretty slim 17 year niece. He asked me in the exam room who this was and I told him . He said now this is how you should look . I was very embarassed in front of my niece . I have lost an gain pounds over the year's , but I don't think this is how a professional should behave . He might be smart but he acts like a jerk!

The receptionists were extremely rude and the doctor spent less than two minutes with me and did not discuss any possible risks or complications from surgery. He gave very little information at all and I was so flustered by his brusqueness that I forgot to ask what risks are associated with the surgery.
