Dr. James Cameron Pingree

I just wanted to Thank All of the people who took the time to write a review for Dr. Pingree. The good ones, and the bad ones. They helped me make a final decision about surgery #19 for me. I have had a bad feeling about this surgery for a long time. But after reading All of the reviews I have decided to Trust Dr. Pingree and his staff with a surgery that I have been dreading for years. And I thank All of you.

When I read the negative reviews about people being treated badly by Dr. Pingree’s staff makes me think, ya all went to the wrong office not this one. I have been a patient for 2 years and have NEVER been treated badly. Now about Dr. Pingree,I have been a nurse for 33 years, and pretty much know who the good and not so good drs are. Dr. James Pingree is the best of the best. He knows what he is doing and has so much compassion and empathy for his patients, something so many Surgeons lack. He fused my neck from C1-T1 because of a fracture and osteoporosis. I am doing great. I’m walking better and riding a recumbent trike. He definitely had to put Humpty Dumpty back together again??. His PA Jonathon is wonderful, also, a bundle of knowledge and kindness. His staff, Kelly and Melissa wonderful, friendly and caring. I ‘HIGHLY’ recommend Dr. Pingree.????

I had this appt. for at least 2 months. Dr. Pingre was referred to me by a lady at my health insurance company and a neurosurgeon I had been seeing. Initially, the lady who took my call was OK, but had a cold and rude side to her. This seems to be the same lady who checked me in today for my appointment. She was also rude today. She jumps to inaccurate conclusions before asking for my side. At this point my only hope is that she doesn’t treat other people the way she has treated me. I came 20 minutes early to make sure the paperwork was filled out adequately etc. I waited 45 minutes after my scheduled appt. before I got up and left. There was no notice about the doctor being behind or anything. The 2 ladies saw that I was using a walker and was dropped off by a driver since he did give this one lady a set of paperwork. I had just had both of my hips replaced at the same time, so I was in a rehab facility.This would have greatly helped me if I sensed they even cared they were leaving a… patient uninformed of the situation or even communicated with me about how long the doctor would be. A simple sorry would have helped, or a notice that the doctor would be with me as soon as he can. I went to this lady and told her I wouldn’t be staying. I’m usually pretty intuitive, and I sensed I was around people who were just focused on getting their own needs met.

Had to wait about an hour to see the doctor, but he was thorough and took the time to answer all my questions...so worth the wait.

Spine was not decompressed at the time of laminectomy surgery as is necessary! Required major surgery because of this 1 year later after much pain and suffering.

A friend referred me to Dr. Pingrees office and i'm so glad they did. The waiting room is small and they are not trying to get through as many people as possible like the other places. They know me by name and they always spend extra time with me. Instead of just recommending surgery like with other doctors he takes the time to do tests and make sure there is good reason and explain everything. They have had great communication with me and I would definitely recommend this doctor.

I've a brain tumor and Dr. Pingree has been wonderful to work with with very successful operations.

This was a follow up visit. Wish I had better results with steroid injections but not all get relief. Dr P had a plan for me and put me at ease about the next phase of care. Everyone in office was terrific and helpful and most importantly, concerned about my health needs.

He performed 2 rounds of lumber steroid shots, there was a small amount of pain relief for a few days. On the follow up visit, Dr. Pingree advised my mother and I that he would perform surgery within the next week. He would cut the bone away from the nerve. When I call Monday to make the appointment he had his MA tell me he would not perform surgery until I lost weigh and quit smoking. What a slam, why did he fib? I was in so much pain, what was I suppose to do now?
