Dr. Mark Reploeg, MD

I feel like Dr. Reploeg takes the time to understand me and my situation. I honestly felt hopeless at living any kind of a life that didn't involve falling asleep 5 times a day. Dr. Reploeg set up sleep studies for me to take. It did take some time, and it's normal for it to take time. But ultimately he had suggestions that we tried as far as medication goes, until we found something that worked for me. A CPAP machine is a completely normal thing to start with, and usually does the job. Yes, sometimes you try a medication and it doesn't work for you. I had to try 3 different kinds before I found one that worked for me.

I ended up being very disappointed in Dr Reploeg. He was happy to put me on a CPAP machine, but not very thorough in my follow-up appointment. I also was diagnosed with another sleep disorder of which he had no interest in finding a medication that would be helpful. The medication he put me on raised my blood pressure and heart rate significantly. When I asked for something else he said there was nothing. I have since switched to Dr Shim in Salem and am very happy with his care. He has changed me to a medication that is not raising my blood pressure, and making me feel awake. He also is monitoring my CPAP until we get it just right. It is worth the trip to Salem.

Really listens and very responsive, knows his stuff, yet very compassionate.
