Dr. Mark E Rohde, PhD

I've personally been seeing Mark for a about consistent 3 years on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. I met Mark coming off of a serious injury to help cope with acute issues at the time and have continued to tackle facets of life past and present. Mark Rohde is the standard when it comes to professionalism, experience, and most importantly success. Former experience w/ one-on-one counseling seemed more like spending an hour sitting around complaining about my life--only to leave feeling worse after sessions with a number of previous providers. That was my former experience until I met and started working with Mark. Mark is solution oriented, and from my experience, a catalyst towards helping clients realize the importance of taking ownership of one's own mental health outside of his sessions. Whether it be reading he's given me, meditation and mindfulness practices learned, or simple breathing exercises in Mark's sessions, there isn't a minute wasted. Mark successfully approaches a… holistic way of treatment that's given me resources and tools I would not have otherwise; he's instilled a sense of pride in the importance of self-awareness to one's own mental health and how it is a circadian, never-ending process. Working with Mark on techniques such as meditation and breathing exercises/mindfulness practices just scratch the surface of resources and tools I leave Mark's office with to help maximize potential for optimal mental health and leverage/will continue to leverage lifelong. From a client's perspective with multiple, former less- than-ideal experiences with therapy, Mark Rohde sets the bar high when client's recognize results and growth within themselves.

My son has been seeing Mark Rohde for the past year and a half. After multiple psychologists have pretty much given up on my son, Mark Rohde continues to believe in him. Mark takes on a teen and makes it his personal commitment to help that child.

He gets to the point very quickly, but is open to alternative points of view. He seems to try to see each family member's side of issues and this was a huge surprise to our teen who expected that he would only reinforce what my wife and I thought. We were shocked when our son admitted to using drugs and wanted to quit.
