Dr. Mark Vincent Sivieri, MD

I was a patient for more than 8 years. Great doctor if you have a complicated problem and want someone to run tests you request. But don't count on him figuring out anything complex. He's too busy to dedicate that amount of time. In his own words, "I answer more than 100 emails every day", as it that's a reason for not having enough time to respond to my request for refills that I'm not even sure he's still willing to prescribe. But mainstream doctors won't even run tests you ask for it THEY don't think it's relevant. Dr. Sivieri is more open minded and will help in that regard. The only drawback I found as a patient was his tendency to make radical changes to my medications due to baseless reasons. For example, discontinuing my IVIG treatment because I got a pulmonary embolism. Cold turkey. It may be true that IVIG treatment has been implicated in clots. But so have two other medications I was taking (one started just 6 weeks earlier). How likely is it that the cause was IVIG when… I've been on it for four years with no problem? It doesn't matter. He still immediately pull any medication you're on for any reason. He insists it's because he cares about your health. I have to wonder if it's more about liability. You can definitely get care with his practice you won't get elsewhere. Just understand you never know what to expect when you become a long term patient. I'd recommend keeping an open line of communication with other providers so you have someone else to go to when needed.

I have never been to a more knowledgeable doctor or a more dedicated doctor! After he sees patients from 6-10pm he answers messages! He will also find what no other doctor will! He's so good that he has longest wait ever to see a doctor. He is more than worth the wait!

Dr. Sivieri cares about his patients and treats them as individuals. He does not lump them into certain categories and give you the same protocol as everyone else in that category. He has an excellent bed side manner. He also has a labcorp in his office and his nurse can put in an iv like I have never seen. She is fabulous! Dr. Sivieri is the best doctor I have ever had seriously. I highly recommend him!

Unfortunately I've spent the majority of my adult years battling symptoms which traditional western medicine and frankly a slew of your more well known integrative/functional doctors have had little to no success with. In part I recognize this is because I became very sick at a young age (2003) with symptoms of diseases which were just being recognized i.e. interstitial cystitis, Lyme disease, mold exposure, etc...Both the testing and knowledge base weren't quite there yet. Having said this, I had felt very trapped in the options for my medical care. I either had integrative doctors that were myopic about one protocol--typically their's--and if you didn't get better on it, they weren't interested in you any longer. On the other hand I had western medicine doctors who diagnosed me with labels indicative of symptoms without ever being open to looking for any underlying causes outside of their medical school teachings. While it has just been my initial visit, I can say that I was… extremely impressed by: (1) the knowledge base Dr Sivieri presented; (2) the fact that he has a solid traditional western medicine background which he blends well with integrative medicine; (3) down to earth explanations on his rational for my care plan; (4) explanations for why prior integrative protocols may not have worked; and, (5) an open mind.

I have never met a doctor more compassionate and knowledgable about illness and the human body. Not only is he extremely bright, he breaks the patients problems down into laymen's terms, drawing diagrams, explaining everything and ensuring the patient does not leave with any unanswered questions. He is excellent about returning phone calls personally, following up, and letting you know he is there for you. I visited numerous doctors for years before being diagnosed and Dr. Sivieri was able to diagnose me within 10 mins. I can say the same for many friends. Dr. Sivieri has renewed my hope and faith in medical doctors. He truly cares.

I stop seeing him after a year of be treated when my situation worsened not improved.

Outstanding. He makes me feel as if I am his only patient. He is friendly, thorough and goes the extra mile.

I was misdiagnosed by 2 other doctors before I saw Dr. Sivieri six years ago. I truly believe the fact that he asked several questions and learned as much as he could about my symptoms and lifestyle really made the difference. He saved my life. That's a fact.
