Dr. Mark Norton Skinner, MD

Either my husband or myself have been going to Dr. Skinner since 2003. He did my last knee replacement. I have all the trust in the world in him.

First I was put down for a right knee replacement instead of the right hip replacement I received. Second..he never gave me a choice of anterior or posterior hip replacement .. he said it was his choice. Third his manor after the surgery was flippant and when he spoke to me, he came right up into my face to explain his points.. I had to back away from him because he made me feel uncomfortable! His advice was just walk and by the way don’t put your hip out as he went out the door.. saying I will see you in a year. Follow up.. there has never been any follow up, it now has been two years. We have been a member of Kaiser sense 1977 and this is my first disappointment, I thought sense he was head of ortho surgery he would be great... not so. Last he used staples to close me up.. glue is the new way... why is he so far be hide the curve? Scare .. it is so ragged and puckered .. a very unprofessional job!

I have seen this dr on lots of occasions. I trust him completely. His way of dealing with patients has changed over the years. He used to take more time. But medicine has changed over the years. He just completed 2 hip replacements on me over the past 8 months and I have no problem with him and his ability at all. Prior to this, I had 3 knee scopes done. Been seeing him since 1999.

Didn't seem like he cared, was not thorough, contradicted himself several times, patronizing
