Dr. Mark Andrew Spelich, MD

Dr Spelich ruined my life. During a hip replacement surgery he snipped a crucial nerve and now I walk with a PERMANENT metal brace. No compensation. Once you sign on the dotted line you're screwed!!! Run away!!

I had a traumatic leg fracture that Dr Spelich "fixed" - as in "fixed" with metal plate and screws. But he didn't line up the bone before screwing it together. Fracture had a 7mm step-off at it's greatest point. I complained about pain, and Dr Spelich suggested anti-depressants! I sought a second opinion. For the first time since injury I got to see my own xrays - yikes! Was Dr. Spelich blindfolded?! New doc said he wouldn't touch it. Too risky. 3 other doctors in the valley said the same thing.. NOPE! And 1 local doc wanted to rebreak the bone & align it correctly, but with great risk of 'bone death'. Ultimately, I had to drive 5 hours away to find an orthopedist that would help.

I would recommend this Dr. To anyone. I had a very bad break to my humerous. He was nothing but nice and spent time listening to my problem. Will defiently be using him for a knee replacement

Great listening skills. Takes the time to listen to your complains. Doesn't rush you through like you are cattle. Spends the time to get the right diagnosis. Would recommend him to all my friends, family, co-works. Anyone who asked me I would recommned him.

My appt was scheduled for 12:45, as a new patient I was advised to arrive early to fill out forms which I did I was in the doors checking in at 12:29' after filling out forms for 10min i waited. I was called back at about 12:50 and taken to a small room where I was left and I believe totally forgotten about. At 1:15 I made a promise to my mother that if the doctor didn't come in by 1:30 we would leave. At 1:30 after hearing talking outside the door several times but never seeing a single staff member I left furious. As I was leaving I stopped at the desk to tell them I was leaving and that I'd better not find a bill from them, I didn't get an apology, just an "OK" from the girl who had checked me it. This experience showed that the staff at this clinic have no respect for my time and circumstances. I will never allow a doctor from this office operate on my body not after this blatant show of apathy by the people working there and total lack of basic courtesy. I hope everyone who reads… this remembers you have the power to choose you don't have to accept sub-par treatment by anyone. I had to arrange for a ride to this appointment because I need surgery on my knee and can't drive that means my mother had to drive to my home and then take me there and wait, if you arrive at a medical office and 1 hour after you get there you still haven't seen a provider get out, if no one bothered to apologize to you for the inconvenience post it everywhere. We live in an age where we don't have to settle for this kind of treatment in silence, if your treated poorly as I was make sure as many people know about as possible. Doctors should respect our time just like we respect the time they spent on their education and fellowships. I'm not a cash cow for rude disrespectful doctors who fill their waiting and treatment rooms with people in order to keep the conveyor belt moving. Mismanaged office mistreating people with no remorse for mistakes not a word of apology, shame on you. Allied Orthopedic, Dr Spelich's Office, if you read this take this to heart. First If I ran this office first I'd make sure each nurse or assistant was responsible for making sure a patient is checked with regularly, if there was a wait and I'd been told the doctor was behind and give the choice to wait or reschedule I wouldn't be posting this, but I wasn't given a single moment of time from anyone after being shoved in that closet you call a treatment room. Second if a patient leaves upset make sure your staff are trained to get a manager, and make sure your office managers are made aware of every upset patient. If for example an office manager had come to me and asked what the problem was even as I was getting into the car I can respect that but to just respond OK and do nothing, where is the customer service, you obviously run a business to make money I didn't hear you say this was free, no in fact you made sure I gave you all my details insurance, ID, social security number. As a business, customer service should be a top priority but it is easy to get the impression from your front office that you are about getting every penny of every patient interaction but you don't want to do any of the soft skills work well you will fail if you carry on as you are.

Very friendly and down to earth. Explained operations (2) clearly in layman terms. Very compassionate and took extra time to answer our questions. We always recommend him to our friends.

Dr. Spelich was extremely short with us when we asked him questions about my husbands condition. He seemed annoyed and we both felt he was rude. When it came time to pay some of our bill, there was some questions we had. He returned our call but again was rude. We both felt he was in it for the money more than he was in the business of caring for his patients. After our experience, we spoke with different acquaintances in the community and found out he does not have a very professional reputation within our community. Including having to go before the board of medicine. Wish we would have known these things before we went to him.

After Dr. Selich examined my daughter and left the room to wait for the X-ray to be taken my daughter, then 13, turned to me and said exactly what I was thinking; Not the brightest bulb in the box is he. He did not seem to be sure of the diagnosis and by the time we had to follow-up, sometime later we just did not feel confident in seeing him again. Now due to continued problems with the original injury we are seeking out another doctor. Guess you have to remember even though he is a doctor not every doctor graduates at the top of the class! Unpleasant and grumpy.
