Dr. Martin Cooper, MD

One of the smartest Doctors I’ve ever met. He’s open to any and all questions. Takes a conservative approach to your injuries. His office is modern and clean and Dr Cooper, his assistants, and secretary are patient and attentive to your needs.

I am 66 and have always been very active. When I met Dr. Cooper I was in a wheelchair from a bad back. After he operated on me I could walk. After 3 months I was back at work doing manual labor and each month I am getting better. In my opinion, had any other doctor done the surgery, I would not have been able to do the things that I am doing now. Dr. Cooper is very kind, friendly and caring. He is not a man of many words but when he speaks he is like E.F. Hutton, everyone listens. If you like jawbone, see a different doctor, if you want results, go to Dr. Cooper.

Dr. Cooper operated on a brain tumor I had that was diagnosed by a neurologist. It was connected to a nerve. He was not able to get it totally out without doing permanent damage to my body. When the tumor grew again he then had me go through Radiation Surgery. I was 70 at the time and asked him what was next? His answer to me was the following : "Your tumor will outlive you, stop worrying." His words have stayed with me and have given me peace. I am going to be 82 years and rarely think about the tumor, having had no side effects. I trust Dr. Cooper's ability alongside his bedside manner. He is a "cool" guy ,very likable, and is his own person. I also enjoyed the office visits as he was so honest, which I found very supportive and refreshing. I trust him completely and hope you have the same experience.

Worked closely with Dr Cooper at CSMC and he can be "abrupt" and wastes little time. But an excellent surgeon and cares deeply that his patients have quality care. As an RN the greatest compliment you can give a physician is that you would let him care for you or a family member ... and if also a surgeon that they could operate on you or a family member. Dr Cooper ? Without a second of hesitation. And once you get to know him he is really a warm and funny fellow.

I found Dr. Cooper through a tv commercial. It was about Hyperhydrosis & a way to stop my hands & maybe feet from perspiring. I cried with relief! No more sweaty hands? Or sweaty feet? It was 11pm at night. I called the number on the tv & left a message. At 7:10am his nurse called. I seen Dr.Cooper 5 days later. I was in surgery within 3 weeks. Dr. Cooper has a great bedside manner. He said this Thombolectomy procedure would stop my hands from perspiring & maybe as a bonus my feet would stop perspiring! I'm happy to say my 1998 surgery was a success & my feet no longer perspire! If you want success go so Dr.Cooper!!!

i was recommended to dr.cooper by my personal physician and although i was hesitant about seeing a doctor that was not in network i went anyway because i had heard great things about him. after my visit i felt confident that he could help me with my problem. even though he may not be a "hand holder" he did show me genuine concern about my problem and was very thorough with the diagnosis. sometimes having security and comfort with your physician is worth paying a bit extra for. i will recommend him to anyone with a back problem.

I had a cervical diskectomy with Dr.Cooper in 2002 and even though his bedside manner was lacking his skill as a surgeon is not.He is brutally honest but I would rather have truth than sugar coating when it comes to my health. I had already see other surgeons before finding out through friends about Dr.Cooper's skills. I was in excruciating pain for 2yrs, no longer working and my personal relationships were suffering.Because of his surgery I was able to get my life back. I think he is the best surgeon then and now.I still recommed people to him.

No follow up and tried to add a lot of addition charges that my insurance would not cover.
