Dr. Martin Trieb, MD

Dr Trieb is a fantastic doctor. I met him at Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles around 1963. I had congenital bilateral Dislocated hips. I had just moved from Massachusetts at the Springfield Shriners. Dr Trieb is a great doctor and was loved by all the kids at Shriners. He would gather all of us in wheelchairs, we would all hold on to each other’s chairs and he would push us through the hospital like a train. He would get on the floor and we would all play jacks. He signed my old autograph book mentioning my hips. After I turned 16 I had to go to Orthopedic Hospital in Los Angeles. I stayed a patient of Dr Stanford M. Noel for 50+ years until he retired in 2011. My doctor now is Dr William T. Long who put in my second set of hips in 2014. The first set of hips that Dr Noel put in lasted 25 years. I value all my past doctors and Dr Trieb was one of my favorites. It’s hard for a kid going into a hospital but Dr. Trieb’s personality and dedication to his work made it easy.
