I look at thyroglobulin!” To yell at a patient who just survived a critical myxedema crisis that, TSH means nothing, is not just wildly arrogant—it is clinically absurd. She completely shut down a… knowledgeable patient because she couldn't handle someone actively participating in their own survival. She weaponized her position of power to mock and psychologically intimidate me at a time when I was physically vulnerable. Her dangerous attitude completely matched her dangerous lack of care. She offhandedly threw a high-dose prescription,150 mcg of thyroid hormone, at me with zero clinical guidance, then pushed me out the door without scheduling a single follow-up appointment or ordering mandatory follow-up bloodwork to monitor my levels. To make matters worse, she didn't even perform a basic physical exam. She never palpated my neck, never checked for nodules, completely skipped checking for Chvostek's sign, which is critical for my specific surgical history. and didn't even pick up a stethoscope to listen to my heart or lungs after a major systemic shutdown. This individual is a bully hiding behind a white coat. She completely abandoned her duty of care, bypassed basic medical protocols, and treated me with a disgusting level of disrespect. You are nothing but a number and a target for her bad attitude. Find an endocrinologist who actually respects human life and basic medical ethics.
