Dr. Mary Elizabeth Eslick, MD

We went here for 2 years. I never felt comfortable asking questions, she always seemed judgemental (would raise her eyebrows when I said I continued to breastfeed past 12 months) and felt like she gave out dated advice (asked if we were going to do time outs or swat my child on the hand; she then justified swatting a 15 month old when I was shocked). The last straw was at our 2 year appointment. My child was teething with molars, had slept poorly the night before, and cried into my chest. Dr Eslick was annoyed and scolded my child at the beginning of the appointment. She made many rude comments and was very condescending during the whole appointment. There were zero positive comments made (no "good" or anything) despite my child meeting all milestones. It was a terrible last visit, but really not surprising based on our other visits.

When my son was younger he had alot of respiratory problems. She took the time to help me understand what was happening to him, and what I needed to do to make him better.Unfortunately, he grew up and didn't want to see a peditrician anymore. :(

She is a very great doctor and I would recommend anyone to her, its just that you wait so long to see her, but when she come in your room you understand why. She takes the time to really see your child and gives a great handful of knowledge for you as a parent.

Dr. Eslick is some one who I would reffer to anyone. She is extremely thorough in every thing does to her patients and also makes sure that the parents know what she is and has done to the children she sees. She pulls no punches and wants you to be satisfied when you leave. When I had a problem with my baby over the weekend with my daughter 15 years ago, she didn't hesitate and admitted her in the hospital until she knew what was wrong and fixed it. I love this doctor and won't change to another one if I can help it.
