Dr. Bernadette Galvin, MD

I was going there about a year! she is a very good doctor yes true, but the way they run the place is terrible! I was back and fourth for weeks trying to get paper work signed and always she"ll call you or she"ll do it, and never! until it was to late then on top I payed 150$ twice is ridiculous!!!! and the staff was nasty when I called and dr refuses to go on phone for !sec! now im looking for a new doctor and I cant even get my records because im not paying for them!!!

I've never had a doctor so considerate, thorough, and truly concerned about doing what is best for me. I'm not just another patient. The wait time in the office can be out of control, but I still find her to be totally worth it.

My brother all of a sudden had an irregular heartbeat and his blood pressure went extremely high. I accompanied my brother on his second visit with Dr. Galvin. Well, I had so many questions for her about my brother and his condition. She was very nice and patient, answering all of my questions clearly and thoroughly. The interior of her office feels and looks like a cottage in Ireland and I found it comforting, and relaxing. I would totally recommend seeing this very experienced doctor who really seems to know her stuff.

wait time is always 2+ hrs..I've been waiting 2 mos for my prescription to be called into the pharmacy and my Insurance Co. is waiting almost 3mos for my records to be sent..I still don't know what my diagnosis is after 3+yrs..RIDICULOUS

Dr GAlvin is one of the most unique doctors that I have met. She is exceptionally pleasant and courteous and Listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed as I have with most other doctors I have seen. Her knowledge and experience are so obvious as she addresses my problems.GREAT DOCTOR and GREAT PERSON!!!

It appears the good doctor doesn't talk with her staff. This disconnect between her directives and those available to me from my insurance provider are often different. That is--getting a referral to stick is very difficult. If you have a cold, see her. If you have any problems other that those she's able to address--DON'T GO! On at least 4 occasions I have been told to see a specialist, only to be refused services at their door because the referral wasn't placed by her office. As it stands, the person responsible for placing referrals is in the office only once a week. It has happened too, that an employee "responsible" for dealing with insurance and office matters is replaced by another the following month. If you care about your health and need help finding specialists--DON'T GO!!! A call-back on an irregular mammogram took an additional 6 weeks for her office to process. That's the kind of care you can expect.

Long waits in waiting room, unprofessional at some times, & discriminates.

Perhaps in other times, Dr.Galvin might have been a great doctor. But from this new patients point-of-view, those times have changed. What I have found is an office that's run poorly and an overtaxed, unhappy woman who snaps at staff and patients alike. Waiting times routinely cap 4 hours from arrival to exit. And don't call because your message won't be heard or relayed correctly. I have made office visits for the sole purpose of relaying a message regarding insurance. Very likely, you will wait months for a referral and find the stories from Doctor and insurance company conflict. This winter, they closed the office due to snow and I never got a call. Maybe Dr.Galvin is a great doctor but I won't stick around long enough to find out. Because what it takes to treat patients involves greater administrative abilities than she and her staff are able to provide. Being the conduit in insurance matters,office matters such as scheduling, time management, phone etiquette--these things can't… be divorced from the patient experience. And this patient is moving on.

I have been with Dr Galvin for 6 months and have yet to meet her. I always see the NP. Don't know why.
