Dr. Mary Adeli Lynn, DO

I just love Dr. Lynn I have been a patient of her's for over 10 yrs. I've never had a bad experience, she is always patient and kind. She explains everything to me I couldn't ask for a better dr.

Filed a formal complaint against this doctor for her atrocious bed side manner, cold rude demeanor, and lack of professionalism. People need to know that she is not an option when it comes to women’s health and she needs to be reprimanded for the way she treated me. I made a video discussing what took place today. After an 1.5 long wait to see her.. I was not greeted .. I even smiled and said “hello how are you” to which she replied “just sit down.. I know you’re hear for birth control and I’m not Giving it to you” From there it just become one condescending remark after the next.. at one point she even pulled out her cell phone to bring up web md to try to prove me wrong regarding my own health history. Our visit ended with me telling her in tears that I don’t feel comfortable with her completeing my pap. She packed up her things and I said to her “ there are nicer ways to talk to people in your line of work” She replied, “ I’m sute there are” Slammed the door and left. … My suggestion to Dr. Lynn , If you hate women so much and have no empathy, then find a new path in life.

She was very kind a straightforward with me from my first visit. I suffered from endometriosis and fibroids for years. She was the first doctor to fully diagnose my problem with a solution. Her bedside manner was incredible. Before my scheduled procedure, I had a medical emergency and ended up in the emergency room. She came from home just to talk to me and make I was ok. Hands down, she is the Best Gynecologist I have ever had.

I only saw her once but my experience was pretty bad. She was unhelpful and condescending. When I asked her for more information about standard practices for labor and aspects in which the patient may have choices (vs. issues where there is a clear recommedation) she would not take the time to explain anything and pretty much said "we know what we are doing, you don't have to worry about it."

I feel compelled to write this review because the other doctors I have at Loyola are wonderful; I don't know why Dr. Lynn is so different. First, I will say that she is not my regular GYN doctor and I saw her because my doctor was booked. I will also say that I am dealing with an extremely sensitive issue that I have never experienced or even heard of before. Dr. Lynn talked a lot and I don't feel she really listened to me. She also went on long tangents when I did get a chance to ask a question. Her exam was kind of rough, and I can usually tolerate my exams pretty well. I also left there feeling like nothing was resolved. She also stated that my only real option is surgery, but due to a certain medication that I take, I am very high risk and "could die" if I have the surgery. Who says that?! It was said with no tact, and very abrasive. Mind you I have had a surgery while being on this medication and was fine - I just had to follow the protocol and they monitored me very… closely. Again, I don't know her and she does not know me; any chance of a re pour is out the window. I am now following up with my regular GYN who was able to get me in in a couple of weeks after I let her know about how unhappy I was with my visit. I will not see her again. Dr. Lynn, if you read this, you really need to improve on your bedside manner, listen more, and act like you care.

Where do I even start with this â??doctorâ??? My wife is an immigrant and has had very little formal medical treatment. So she gets very stressed about going to the doctor. So I went into the examination room with her to translate for the nurse and then to tell the doctor that I would leave the room and re-enter after the examination so that we could discuss treatment options together. Well, from the moment that this â??doctorâ?? strolled into the room (45 minutes late), it was clear that we were going to do things on her terms. She immediately shooed me out the door. It was clear that she was not going to let me have any part in my own wifeâ??s health care. Okay, so I held my peace and politely went out to the waiting room. Some time later, my wife came out. I was never invited back in to discuss treatment options as I had requested. I asked my wife, â??How did it go?â?? She just went off. I thought she was going to cry. She said that, before even examining her, the… doctor (through a translator) started talking about hormones and surgery. So hereâ??s my wife, already scared, and this so-called doctor, without even examining her, starts talking about cutting her open. The doctor ordered tests, but, needless to say, we didnâ??t do them because weâ??ll never, ever go back to her. It was a complete waste of time and money, and now my wife is even more stressed about going to the doctor. In my opinion, this doctor needs to work in a laboratory somewhere and not have contact with humans.
