Dr. Matthew Lawrence Finerman, MD

Dr. Finerman actually reads the new patient paperwork you complete and asks follow up questions! He is clearly an expert in his field/specialty. I highly recommend him for your standard ENT issues. Dr. Finerman is friendly, funny, efficient and has an excellent bedside manner. He is a classical, old school doctor who actually cares about your health and well-being. As a bonus, his office is clean, beautiful and calming.

He takes time, explains all issues, is conscientious, has an excellent staff.

Dr. Finerman does not have an important tool known as a nasal endoscope to perform a proper evaluation. I endured a prolonged, expensive and unnecessary trial and error program of nasal washes, cultures, prescription sprays and drugs which failed to have any impact on my chronic sinus condition. Dr. Finerman gave up and referred me to another specialist. My new doctor was surprised that Dr. Finerman relied on outdated methods and tools.

Dr. Finerman is hands down the best doctor I've ever had. I wish he did general internal med. I've seen him for more than 15 years and he's always kind, thorough, explains all procedures and results, and takes time - something rare these days. He also accepts my insurance at a time when many doctors in his area want cash up front. You can really trust him and he really cares about patients.

I love Dr Finerman. He's the second ENT that I've seen for my sinus issues, and he's the one who fixed it for the same amount of money the last ENT charged me, but I got so much more from Dr. Finerman. He's nice and funny and was able to work with me on getting sinus surgery for a problem I've had for 15+ years. He was recommended to me by two of my friends who use him.

My experience with this Dr. was terrible, first of all he didn't listen to me when I told him I was loosing my hearing and saidtalk to him about that in 2 -3 months as all I had was ear congestion. I had just been to my Internist who was worried that I had lost my hearing because he checked my ear, did some noises to see if I could hear and then told me to tell the ENT that I was having hearing problems.Then after I pushed he gave me a hearing test and found out I had lost my hearing severely in one ear. He then prescribed a heavy dose of prednisone and when I asked if I had any problems with this could I call him. He said no call your Internist and tell him about any side effects. I told him I was concerned about taking this medication. He told me "hereis the prescription, take it or don't". He let me go almost 3 weeks before he decided to listen and test my hearing. I lost a big window of opportunity to get this corrected. Sudden Hearling Loss is considered a medical emergency… and to be treated as such. This Dr. neither cared nor wanted to help me out with my medication. He basically washed his hands of the whole thing aafter he found out I had lost my hearing. I hold him responsible for this .
