Dr. Matthew Brian Lutz, DO

He was not empathetic, or appeared to even care. He treated me with great indifference. And I could have accepted that if he was an amazing physician. But he’s not. And as a Nurse I found it all unacceptable.

I saw him once upon the recommendation of my GP. I will NEVER go back. Also, I will never go back to that GP and have gotten a new GP. Enough said here.

Wish I could leave 0 stars It is apparent from reviews & my experience that ppl w private ins are treated well, medicaid folks are not treated well. It took 6 wks to get an appt. I had to call my PCP & ask for an intervention after a month of no call back & me calling daily. Not sure how long it would have taken if I hadn't requested assistance. I was given 3 whole mins with Dr Lutz ??. The majority of the visit, prior to that, was with a Resident. (Dr Yang. Very nice, but a student.) I have a rare disease & because Dr Lutz isn't informed, he told me I was very emotional and suggested I see a psychiatrist. Mind you, I was composed up until this point. The only emotion I showed was 4 tears I lost when I realized he couldn't care less about me. He wrapped up our 3 mins with an eye roll & told me I seemed like a very nice lady, before he walked out & left me w Dr Yang. I have been meticulously documenting my journey with a rare disease. Including recordings. So I'd love to hear… him deny my account of this visit. He'd be smart to think that through and try to recall whether I was holding my phone. I will thank him for the inspiration and for changing the trajectory of my story. STAY TUNED.

I went to Dr. Lutz after a 34 day hospital stay and was NEVER seen by him during that time, but a resident of his which was amazing. I expected to follow up with the resident afterwards but he was gone. Dr. Lutz did not seem to know as much about my case as I would expect. My first impression of him was he was very impressed with himself and making a great impression that it hindered him from really preforming his duties as a physician. He scoped me to check my trach, and said it might need surgery for it to close properly and had me scheduled to go back in 3 months. I called my Primary care doctor's office to get another ENT doctor and they referred me to several, none of which would see me regarding my problems with my trach since they didn't put it in. When I returned for my follow up each concern I had was met with I can do surgery to repair that, no problem. There were 4 different areas that needed attention, one the result of a fall that injured my nasal passage and… the other 3 a result of complications after surgery requiring a trach. He pushed the surgeries and I said I'm wasn't sure. He had me sign 4 consent forms for the 4 different procedures he would be doing for when I did decide to have the surgeries. I did NOT go back to Dr. Lutz went to another ENT doctor who sent me to another ENT doctor and they assured me I did NOT need any surgeries. I have not had but minor issues. One is scar tissue on my wind pipe from the trach. The other obstruction in my right nostril, both things I can live with. I would not recommend Dr. Lutz to anyone. He is so full of himself and tries to be so charming but it's fake. I want a doctor concerned with my true medical condition not one who is so impressed with himself. Also one who sees a solution other than surgery.

The office staff was rude, including the doctor himself. He misdiagnosed my child's condition, and the condition my child had turned out to be very serious. Worst doctor I have ever met!

Dr Lutz is kind and seems to listen. He did balloon sinuplasty on me, which didnt seem to work. After multiple follow ups still no resolution or course of action. I'll get a second opinion and hope something works. Beware, his office staff is horrible. I was scheduled incorrectly twice and had to come back. I witnessed the front desk staff yelling at an older gentleman who asked questions about his bill, and when I asked questions about mine I was treated very poorly. I was doubke billed. The office manager is particularly rude. While Dr Lutz is very kind, he clearly doesnt hold his staff accountable for how they treat his patients.

Dr Lutz is wonderful he has done 2 parotidectomy on me and just done a thyroidectomy and he has done work on mine son tubes tonsillectomy him and the staff are friendly caring they treat you like a human and wants to listen! I recommend him to anyone that has to see an ent

I have currently been having allergy injections weekly for the last 3 months. I always arrive on time, with the exception of today- I was 5 minutes late. Not only did they refuse to give me my injections, but the receptionist started to argue with me about how many minutes I was late. Prior to this horrible customer service, I had another incident that is worth mentioning. After my appointment with Dr. Lutz he told the receptionist that he would like to see me back in a month for a recheck. I scheduled it at that time. On the day of the appointment, I arrived on time, paid my copay, and then was quickly taken to an exam room. After about 20 minutes, a nurse came in and told me that Dr. Lutz was not in and that I had been scheduled with the wrong doctor. I, understanding that mistakes happen, politely went out and rescheduled with Dr. Lutz; however, it was surprising to me that the staff seemed so indifferent about the error which leads me to believe that mistakes like this… happen frequently. It is too bad that a good doctor has such a horrible support staff. I will not be returning...he lost a client today.

I went to dr Lutz because I was one heck of a snorer!!! He ordered a sleep study but I don't have sleep apnea we found out. So he did a visual exam of my nose only to find out my septum was blocking my right nostril. This is 12 post-op right now. Surgery went great and the meds he gave me are working I think lol. He was very pleasant each and every time I saw him. Looking forward to having these stents removed from my nose tho!!! I would definitely refer him to a friend... oh wait... I already have!!!

He addmitted my desease still he did notgive me any priscriptions.Of course he knew what kinds medecines,but no care.For what reason I xisited him?Do not fool of your paintein.
