Dr. Matthew Metz

I had the gastric sleeve on Aug 26, 2019. Dr Metz not only did an outstanding job, he has the best bedside manner, he listens and truly cares. The team he works with are outstanding as well. Rose Medical personnel took great care of me. I would recommend him a hundred times over!!!!!! My husband will have his surgery next and we have absolutely no fears or reservations with Dr Metz in the drivers seat. Thanks Doc!

I have written several reviews but he takes them down. I had a balloon procedure that did not go well. I ended up in the hospital in ICU for 10 days and in the hospital for 14. They should’ve never let me go due to high blood pressure. He said he would give me back my money but he did not. He lied about it and pretended to care and told my daughter myself and my husband that he would refund the funds !! When it came time to refund the funds he never did it and won’t return my calls or my emails.

He didn’t pollution procedure on me and the balloon moved and so I got sepsis and pneumonia I ended up in intensive care for 10 days and I was in the hospital for two weeks. He originally told me he would not charge me he said he was scared he said that he cared about me and that he was sorry he didn’t know why the balloon would move. He told me not to worry I would not have to pay for it and just to get better. That did not happen when it came time to adjust my credit he refused to do so and he won’t take my calls or my emails .

I would recommend Dr Metz to anyone as a surgeon and a friend. He is straight to the point but with best side manner and taste. Him and his staff are wonderful people and have your best interest at hand.

Today was my first appointment and Dr. Metz was amazing and motivating from beginning to end of the appointment I can't wait for my surgery day!!! He's giving me hope on life!

Honestly, Dr. Metz and his team are amazing... I had some complications with my first weight loss surgery (Dr. Metz did not perform that surgery) and he was there for me by removing my band and helping me get a revision done so I could get back on track with my weight loss goals!!! Anytime I have any questions or concerns someone from their office reaches out to me and explains everything I need to know. I am so grateful for all their help!

Dr. Metz is very friendly and honestly cares about his patients! Although I do not qualify for gastric surgery, I appreciate his honesty. He explained to me why due to other medical reasons I was unable to have the surgery rather than just doing it. And for that I am grateful.

I would highly recommend dr Metz to everyone I know. Great personality. Very easy to talk to. Answered all my questions and even gave me answers to questions I didn't know I would have.

Cindy Norris-Brown Dr.Metz is the most caring, professional, and knowledgeable surgeon I have ever been a patient of. I tell all of my friends and coworkers to go to him. I am a nurse on a surgical unit at a teaching hospital and I am impressed by Dr. Metz and his willingness to share his knowledge with others, he actually told me any of our residents who are wanting to learn his skill he will mentor because he wants people to learn the right way for patient's safety. I will be having surgery again soon and I feel very confident in Dr.Metz! Not to mention he has an excellent team behind him. Bedside manner.... If I could put 10 stars by this I would!
