Dr. Matthew Charles Murray, MD

I trust Dr. Matthew Murray implicitly! He is absolutely, the only Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Surgeon I would go to, or recommend to my family and friends. When my husband needed shoulder surgery, we went straight to Dr. Murray because he is simply the best on every count! My husband and I work in the OR at one of the facilities where Dr. Murray performs surgery. As an OR nurse, I see first hand, how truly exceptional his surgical skills are. Also, he really cares about his patients, and has an excellent bedside manner. As expected, Dr. Murray did a phenomenal job on my husband's shoulder! His function and range of motion haven't been this good since he was in high school! (He is 53 now) He did a posterior labral repair, biceps tenodesis, and distal clavicle excision. We are so thankful to Dr. Murray for improving my husband's quality of life, because that's really what it's all about! Nurses cannot speak bad about a physician, but they do not have to recommend a physician either. Every… year, nursing is voted the most trusted profession, by the public. So, if a nurse recommends a physician, you can bet it's legitimate!

I am a former high school and collegiate football player. I suffered a labrum tear in high school that I never got surgically repaired until I saw Dr. Murray 7 years after I finished playing college football. I begin to experience impinging and locking up in my shoulder after I was done playing college football. I saw several Orthopedists that told me they would have to do major invavsisve surgery on my shoulder, that arthroscopic care was not in my future. When I got evaluated by Dr. Murray, he was very confident in his skills that he could perform my operation arthroscopically. I was so relieved because I was nervous about my recovery time being so young, with a young family. Dr. Murray truly understands the athlete & active patients and what their goals are. I was back in full swing and full motion in less than 4 weeks! He had me doing thepray pre & post op and that benefitted me so well! Dr. Murray said my shoulder was one of the worst he had seen in terms of damage-and I was so… thankful that he got me back feeling great!! Dr. Murray is an excellent and caring Orthopedic Surgeon. He truly cares for his patients. He takes his time to explain everything before surgery. as well as at the follow-up visits after surgery. He is a very dedicated professional, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs orthopedic surgery.
