Dr. Matthew David Neale, MD

Dr Neale is an excellent surgeon and spent time answering all my questions both before and after the surgery. I wasn't just one more cataract patient in his office. I have the highest respect for both Dr. Neale and his staff. I had been to another office in town where they had no patience for questions and used the medicare option of a second opinion and found Dr. Neale. So very glad that I did.

The staff and Dr Neale were all very caring and made my 13 year old daughter very comfortable and at ease during her eye exam. They explained the procedures to her before they performed them, which set her mind at ease. The only issue at all with our entire visit was that the woman who helped my daughter pick out her glasses told us she would call us in a week to come pick up the glasses, which my daughter took to heart. The glasses ended up taking 10 days to be ready; no big deal to me, but to a kid eagerly awaiting her glasses it was a huge thing. So my recommendation would be not to give patients any time frame for when the glasses will be ready, or tell them very clearly that one week is a ballpark estimate and it could take longer. Other than that, I have no complaints and highly recommend Eugene Eye Care to anyone.

Dr. Neale was great I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

HE IS AMAZING! I was legally blind, then he did his surgery and next thing I know I knew, I had 20/20 vision! I don't know how to repay him other than this rating! I wouldn't be able to write this if I had never gone to him! He is very professional, confident and reassuring! I would definitely refer him to any of my friends and anyone who I see needs and eye professional. I have never been to a better doctor!

Although I had to wait sometime before surgery the experience was well worth it and even more important my vision is excellent now! Thanks Dr. Neale!

From start to finish my experience was great. Front office staff was welcoming and professional. The back office staff were comforting and knowledgeable. I appreciated Dr. Neale's thoroughness and willingness to answer my questions. Overall Great Job!

HE IS AWESOME!!!

I was pretty much blind from cataracts when I was referred to Dr Neale by my regular eye doctor. I had been wearing glasses my whole life. Pretty much since the 3rd grade. He spent time explaining the problem and offered several options for my surgery, like different ways my vision could be. Anyways, now both eyes are fixed and things are really good. I had him do a multifocus lens called restore I think. So I am basically not wearing glasses ever now--not to drive, not even to read. So yeah you could say I am pretty satisfied. The doctor was nice, but maybe looked a little young. They gave me flowers after my surgery and you don't see that a lot.

I can see again!

Saw a nurse first, then Dr came in about 15 min after. He was patient with my questions, kind and didn't feel rushed. I very much appreciated that he told me I could get more inexpensive readers elsewhere rather than spending money at his own optical shop.....not greedy. Thoroughly liked him and will continue to see him.
