I had an appointment with Dr. Sand regarding recurring kidney stones. Without going into gruesome detail, I will tell you that procedure was definitely botched, and I've never been the same since it happened. In retrospect, I should have sued, but I did not.

Had an appointment for a specific concern but was repeatedly told I do the " gold standard." Very difficult to communicate with--- his "gold standard" was definitely not mine. Recommend you get a second opinion.

I see many doctors. This visit was pathetic. 1) In the outside hallway, they insisted that I wear a mask. I usually wear a face shield, which has been find with all my other doctors. I do so because I have bronchiolitis, and can barely breath with a mask. My pulse oxygen level drops to 92. Not dangerous, but very unpleasant. 2) Having an enlarged prostate, I asked the mask man where was the nearest bathroom. He pointed it out. Then, as soon as I got into the waiting room, I was asked for a urine sample. 3) I brought with me my medical history, and a history of my problem – ED. He looked at none of it. 4) Though I was a new patient, he spent a total of 5 minutes with me, including checking out my prostate. He ran down a mental checklist of things I’ve used before. I had to follow him down the hallway asking more questions. I had tried his treatment before, but had a problem with it. He said come back after I get the Rx, and he would explain how to use it then. Sort of like… I had rabies. 5) The internet, and the pharmacist, explained what I had been doing wrong. Why would I return to a 5-minute doctor?

Dr Sand made it easy to discuss my questions, I did not feel rushed at all. I would see him again without hesitation.

Dr. Sand is always in a hurry and he may have been while performing my surgery. My vasectomy performed by Dr. Sand resulted in a serious infection that caused me to be hospitalized. Because of this I am still paying medical bills on this over a year later.

He seems nice and knowledgeable. I feel the appointment was rushed.We barely warmed the chairs in the exam room.I guess male urinary incontinentce isn't that exciting to treat.
