Dr. Matthew Joe Uyemura, MD

I'm a pipeline welder and I over the years have gotten numerous things in my eyes this is the only place that was opened to dig a piece of metal out of my eye I told him at the beginning that I didn't have my insurance and then I would be paying cash so they charged me $170 which isn't bad but then I owed $195 I got a bill for so I paid that over the phone and then I got another bill for $73! These people are crooks!

Have been seeing Dr. Uyemura for about three years. He seems to know his stuff, but when there are problems- and I've had some- post-surgery, etc, he seems too busy to listen to descriptions of what is going on, and he definitely is too busy to provide any information or even respond to comments or questions with more than a few generic words at most. Issues that could cost all or most ability to see are serious. Taking time to consult with patients about their eye issues is important. He may be one of the best eye docs in that state for all I know, but his communication skills sure aren't very good. Leaves me feeling uninformed and worried about the condition of my own eyes every time I'm there.

Wait time is way long because he is the only person seeing children, every other eye specialist have taken the easy way out and do not open their practice to children. This guy knows his stuff and is quite thorough

Front office is very frustrating. Staff seems inexperienced and never on time. I met with Dr. Uyemura once he seemed a very busy but capable doctor. He quickly passed me off to one of his associates.
