Dr. Maureen Bridget Conroy, DO

My regular Doctor retired after 10+ years so I was understandably uncomfortable starting with a new ob/gyn. Dr Conroy couldn’t of been any nicer or put me more at ease. She gave me a thorough exam, went over everything & took the time to listen to my concerns.

My daughter had an appt with her last month and this lady repeatedly told her how she had a baby young (at the age of 20) and how stupid she had been for getting pregnant so young. My daughter is around that age so Dr Conroy's comments were very rude and unprofessional. Last time I checked my insurance doesn't pay for people's snide remarks.

Dr. Conroy ruptured my membranes yesturday without asking or telling me she was going to do it. This is not what I wanted and was wondering why a cervical check was so painful. This is abuse and violated my trust. She doesn't take the time to ask what you want in the birth of your child and assumes everyone just wants to get the baby out asap. There was no medical reason why I needed my membranes ruptured and if there was, I needed to have an explanation to why and what she was going to do. There was nothing I could do after the fact and I was too in shock to say anything. I've spent the last 24 hours cramping when before I was feeling great. Do not see her if you care about your rights as a patient.

Gave me 2 wrong diagnoses and therefore had me take medication for a problems I didn't even have. Didn't explain things clearly. I've been with East Suburban OB-Gyne for decades & she is the only doc in this practice that is sub-par.

first visit with Dr. Conroy. She was very personable and thorough without making me feel rushed.

Dr. Conroy also delivers in Cumberland Maryland and she wasn't even my OB/GYN she was the doctor on call and she did excellent delivering my daughter I would love her to deliver all of my kids

Wouldn't go anywhere else! Love her!

Dr Conroy told me I was too young and in good health- that my "hemorrhagic cyst" was nothing and I didn't even need to follow up- well I switched doctors because obviously something IS wrong- and in the last 2 months have had 2 ultrasounds, an MRI, a lap surgery to remove the endometrioma that had burst inside me, and was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis. I can now move forward with treatment and gain control of this situation. I could not be happier with my current doctor and would not recommend anyone to go here if they are truly interested in their health!

Very pleasant, actually LISTENS and spends ENOUGH time, seems quite knowledgeable on womens' issues, easy exam.

One of the most competent and knowledgeable doctor I have ever met!
