When imaging showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that there was a herniated disc at the L1-L2 level, Dr. Goins suggested that the problem was in thee hip and chose to pursue that rather than the spinal issue. Ended up dropping Resurgens for Polaris Spine in Atlanta. Surgery at L1-L2 resolved the issue. Dr. Goins should have paid attention to his NP who apparently knew more than he did.

I was referred by a non-surgical orthopedist because surgery had become necessary after years of other treatments. Dr. Goins was able to see me right away and treat me with pain medication until surgery was scheduled. I had surgery on my cervical spine and the pain relief was immediate. My recovery was smooth and I feel much better now than I did a year ago. My only complaint about Dr. Goins is I usually have a wait a pretty long time before being called back to see him. I have decided that it is because he actually spends time with his patients and makes sure all of their questions are answered. The time spent waiting is worth the extra time he is willing to spend with his patients.

Dr Goins performed back surgery on a friend of mine, it was so botched that the pain was almost intolerable.An mri was ordered that showed the botched surgery and he said it was just arthritis. The pain now shoots down my friends leg and he is going to another dr who can hopefully fix this mess.

My mother had surgery yesterday to correct Dr Goins work. She had back surgery last year of which Dr Goins had to revise a second time due to leakage. Then she has been experiencing excruciating pain in her leg and complained to him about it. He said everything looks good per cat scan and put her on medication. I searched and found someone else to get a second opinion and they discovered thru an mri that the spine didn't fuse plus the screws were loose! This doctor goins did an incomplete job.
