Dr. Maurizio Zeki Albala, MD

I saw doctor albala as a patient for many years. The last 1-2 years of my time with him was full of crazy phone calls, abusive behavior, and coercive control. Last year I left an appointment with him and never looked back. It was the first time he didn't have any other staff present in the building and the last time I would ever listen to him make claims like he wasnt being compensated enough. It was a very creepy "what do I get out of this?" Conversation. Apparently making doctor money wasn't enough. He was using my meds as an excuse to repeatedly call, harass, and have unbridled access to me. He was upcoding my visits while refusing to do the bare minimum of prior authorizing my meds. He repeatedly tried to convince me that we had to talk on the phone to get my refills. So instead of filling my meds at my monthly visits, id also have to sit on the phone with him when I needed my refills. He said it was legalities. It was a form of stalking and harassment. I watched Dr.… Albala become increasingly erratic, angry, and paranoid over time. He was always blaming outside factors for his absurd behavior. When I expressed concern for his behavior it would become even more aggressive. he'd try relentlessly to convince me that no one else will help me. I haven't seen or spoken to Dr albala in a full year but he continues to monitor me and make attempts to interfere with my medical care. If it sounds completely unhinged and unbelievable it's because he truly is. He is a creepy, abusive, small man who will continue bringing others down with him as long as he has access/control over them. I have seen numerous nurses ghost him. He can't keep his office staffed. Every part of his professional life is dark. If you go here for care bring another adult with you to your appointments. If you are a vulnerable female patient, nurse, or MA please take precautions.

Dr. Albala is respectful and personable. The appointment was not rushed. He explained everything thoroughly in realistic terms. He treated me like a human being and not just another chart number. It’s a relief to have found him.

Dr.Abala is the best doctor I ever had. He really cares about his patients. He has always been there for me. He listens and understands what I'm going threw. Thank you Dr. Abala.

I was referred to Dr. Albala after suffering a back injury, which has now caused chronic pain. Even while in intense pain on our first meeting, he was able to put me at ease discussing multiple plans of care depending upon the success of each treatment. He has always been willing to spend time explaining procedures at a level you can understand. Dr. Albala has now moved his practice to Oshkosh, which is more than 60 miles from my home. I have and will continue to see him as I feel it is worth the travel time for the results. He listens to your thoughts and decreases your apprehension regarding more invasive procedures. To date, I have received nerve block injections as well as nerve ablation with positive effects. I have already recommended him to several people you have had less than effective results with other physicians regarding pain management.

Dr. Albala is a superb physician who helped me in an emergent basis when I really needed it. I got in promptly, was treated with respect, got excellent care from a knowledgeble physician and the overall experience was wonderful. I just wish I didn't have problem that led me to have to see him, but he sure helped!

All I can say Is Ive met with him a couple times and he really cares about you and your condition. He looks right at you In your eyes and explains everything and Is very honest I really dont think I would have a life with out Dr Albala, He Is very personable and I feel Is one of the best doctors In the area!
