Dr. May Lin Chew Araki

I had a growth that met all the criteria for cancer. I went to her immediately. She misdiagnosed it as something benign. She did not send a tissue sample for testing. I went back on an urgent basis 3 weeks later. The second time I was desperate because there was a second growth. That time she didn't even look at it. She wrote a prescription for ointment and then, with annoyance, said "Well, go see a specialist if you want to." It was Stage 4 cancer by then. They only part that posed a problem was the second growth. I'm disabled because of the massive surgery it required. The chemo didn't get rid of it. It wasn't even there the first time I saw her.

She is the worst OB/GYN I have seen. I do not see her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Araki's for about 2 years now and Love HER! She was the first and only doctor to finally diagnose me with PCOS. She is caring and helpful and always answered my questions thoroughly. She even would write down what she was telling me so I could take it with me and remember everything after the appt. I am very sad that she is leaving her practice but I wish her well.

She said I had HPV - Cervial Cancer when I didn't. I guess she wants to get more money from then insurance. but whateve the reason she is a liar. I think she needs to be reported and never be able to work with people again.

Dr. Araki was truly terrible. At first she seemed really helpful and calm. Then when I hit 36 weeks, all of a sudden it was "When is your baby going to be born?" It got so bad that my BP rose terribly high each visit & she was always trying to get me to induce early. One time she sent me to the hospital, didn't show up for hours. I had gestational diabetes and was on a strict eating schedule but when I waited I wasn't allowed to eat or have water. It turns out everything was normal, but she never once answered the nurses' requests that I have food or water (for something like 4 hours). When I gave birth, I finally caved in around week 40 to induce. After an emergency c-section she didn't come to check up on me for over 24 hours. I wasn't washed or anything because they needed her approval. When she removed the bandages, she RIPPED them off. I had worse scarring from my bandages than I did from the surgery. If you want a c-section and a really unresponsive doctor, then she's for you.

She is an awesome doctor. Very thorough and caring.

This doctor will never call back on an emergency situation which will you have to discuss with her. I will never recommend this doctor for any one.
