Dr. Mayank Shami Pathak

Dr. Pathak is condescending, rushed, and not thorough. Speaking specifically about care for my mother who was showing strong clinical signs of dementia and specifically logopenic progressive aphasia (Alzheimer's), he was utterly unhelpful. He ordered bloodwork to check for beta-amyloids and when the test returned negative, he wanted to wait another 9 months to see her. No PET scan, the gold standard for detecting beta-amyloids? Obviously there are a range of neurological issues for which one might seek a neurologist. But if you're looking for care for someone with memory loss/possible dementia/alzheimer's, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

This office staff was rude and the doctor had no compassion when I was 10 min late to appt. after calling the office to make sure I could still come in they turned me away once I arrived and were extremely rude. while at the office another pt had to continually ask the staff to cover up her records because her ssn was exposed!! HIPPA, I would never recommend this sorry excuse for a doctor and staff.

The staff in Orange NEVER follows up on requests in a timely manner. Their attitude often borders on rudeness. I have been a patient for quite a while and I don't think the doctor knows or particularly cares about me and my illness. I'll be looking for another neurologist.

First off let me start off by saying, that Dr. Pathak is probably one of the worst doctors that I have ever seen . The last time I was in there he was on his cell phone the whole time and didn't even look up at me. His office staff was also very rude. When I went in to retrieve my records, they didn'teeven ask for any form of identification. Pretty scary if you ask me.

Was loosing feeling in a hand and was told by Pathak there was not reason for it and nothing could be done. MRI showed the issue and PT help the issue. It's clear the guy doesn't care and is just putting in time.

I have been Dr. Pathak's patient for six years. During that time, he has always spent time to discuss my diagnoses, optional treatments. Refers me as needed. I like him and have confidence in him.......

i was very pleased with the office staff and doctor. they were all very helpfull and undersanding the doctor was amazing he was able to answer all my questions and had a great bed side manner.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. He was rude, short tempered and very poor explaination of the issues I have and said no treatment. Once I returned home and researched my problem there are many treatments available. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR HE IS A QUACK

I was disgraced, scared, and astonished at how unprofessional dr. Patheck was towards me and I truley hope that no other person has to endure the cruelty I endured at his office. His front staff was rude and lost my referral!!!!!!! It is hard enough being in pain and not knowing why then to be treated that way is unacceptable and sad. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through at this office!!
