Dr. Maziyar A Kalani, MD

I fell and injured my neck and needed spine surgery. Dr. Kalani met with me twice before the surgery explaining the process he was going to do, what to expect after surgery, and took the time to listen and answer all my questions. After surgery, his two nurses were also exceptional answering my questions and helping me get prescriptions filled.

Egomaniac, conceited, narcissistic, and uncaring. Once your surgery is done, you will never see him again. If you have any complications regarding the surgery he performed, instead of asking questions or trying to help you, he will tell his listless nurse to contact you on the portal and tell you to contact your family doctor, who has no experience in such matters anyway. I've never been to a doctor who is so in love with himself and so unwilling to help, outside of cutting you open. Pick another doctor and skip this clown. He's nothing but a joke with an over sized sense of importance and relevance.

Great experience. Dr. Kalani was thorough and spent a lot of time with me, explaining everything. We went over images and pros and cons of the surgery. I appreciated his thoughtfulness and the approach. My low back surgery went great and I feel much better now. Thank you so much, Dr. Kalani.

Dr. Kalani is an excellent surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and has incredible bedside manners. He made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. He has my highest recommendations.

Dr. Kalani is patient, kind, and caring doctor. Unclear where these bad reviews are coming from but that is unrelated to his care.

Why does Mayo have such a good reputation? I don’t see the quality. If you can’t afford the whole package, why can’t you get orders and do your tests elsewhere? Why cant they read a patients entire past medical history before recommending meds? Why say no so often? And why say a person has to drive elsewhere when a simple printout would work? Not the all inclusive experience they advertised! I would save your gas and money, and look elsewhere.
