Dr. Meera R Patel, MD

Lacks bedside manner in my opinion. If you are looking for warm and inviting this isn’t it.

She delivered both my children and is the best Ob in St Louis as far as I am concerned. If you are looking for someone try to get an appointment with her. Very kind and well educated.

I really like her. She is so patient and caring.

I don't have anything but good things to say about Dr. Patel. She delivered our first child and was very supportive to both my husband and me during a difficult pregnancy. She answered our questions, took time to explain when we asked for clarification, gave us personal attention, called with test results. We didn't feel we had to wait too long and never felt rushed in our time with her. We trusted her judgment and were able to deliver vaginally. She followed up with us in the hospital. One of her nurses was super-friendly whenever we visited the office. We moved away from St. Louis, but I would continue to see her if I still lived there and I am sad she won't be able to deliver any future children I may have. I will be looking for a doctor to measure up to the standard she set.

If you are considering a new OB, keep looking. Dr. Patel is one of the coldest doctors that I have ever encountered. She lacks any bedside manner, compassion, or warmth. Definitely NOT good characteristics for this specialty of medicine. I am consistently disappointed with this office and with Dr. Patel's overall demeanor. Do yourself a favor and do not fall into the trap of becoming one of her patients!

Extremely disappointed. Was referred to Dr Patel by a friend. Was blown off, months worth of questions and phone calls went unanswered, and was met with unprofessional aggressive attitude when I did get the change to actually talk to a human on the phone. Only after months of frustrations did I get to talk to the physician on the phone. Horrifically disappointed. Ridiculously poor communicators throughout the entire office. This is supposed to be an important, beautiful process to create life, but their office made it the most miserable experience, even more stressful than I ever could have expected. The wait times were expected and really played no impact on the overall feeling of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and bad attitude.

As a young single mother I was unaware of many things and this lady is the type to take advantage of that. Instead of helping me with my concerns she ignored me or purposefully used large "official" words to scare me into making bad decisions. I found out later from another Dr. friend how she had tricked me into an early C-SECTION. I suppose its her favorite way to deliver so if she is your Dr you can pretty much expect one. I regret ever going there, it seemed like such a nice place but she is a human form of the Devil.

I have had 2 babies with dr patel, and both happened to be csections. I wanted a 'natural' birth the first time, she was supportive, but it didnt work out that way. The 2nd time around i wanted a planned csection and she was supportive of that as well. The surgery went smoothly in boh cases, and i always trust her opinion.

I don't feel like Dr. Patel is in this field of work because she truely cares about people which is a big mistake. She is quick, disrespectful, and and not at all accomadating to her patients needs. She isn't open to conversation or suggestions from her patients. She doesn't take the time to make you feel like you matter and your health is important. I just felt like another number when I was with her. I don't recommend wasting time with her.

I am a first time mom and don't know a lot about pregnancy. Dr. Patel is not very doesn't share her knowledge about basic stuff. If I ask her a question, she does answer it, but gives me a look..."that's such a dumb question....you should be knowing that". She might be good for women who know a lot about pregnancy stuff, but not for new bees like me.
