Dr. Megan Catherine Mac Neil, MD

I am a patient of Dr. Macneil and have been for 6 years. From the very beginning of my diagnosis, Dr. Macneil has given me the utmost care and treatment. She is always very thorough and professional in addition to being very caring. I am pain free after suffering with excruciating pain prior to my visit with Dr. Macneil. Highly recommended!

Dr MacNeil is all about pushing drugs. Trying to help yourself is something Dr. MacNeil discourages. While we all know diet has more to do with your health and well being with all the processed foods today. Dr. MacNeil is not encouraging her patients to look to diet. Dr. MacNeil had me on 8 -2.5mg of methotrexate , 1mg folic acid, 10mg prednisone while adding Humira to the equation and never telling me to back off any of the methotrexate or prednisone. The drug cocktail had more of a crippling effect. Nightshade vegetables,msg,nitrates in meats,sugar,blackening meats or grilling are bad. Pork and most luncheon meats are not good, beans and peanuts have the wrong protein for people with RA. Soy is also a bad choice. Chicken and beef are acceptable but watch the beef "not too much". Pineapple juice before bed (4-6oz.) you will wake up a new person. Fresh ginger,turmeric and the bromine of the pineapple fresh or juice help reduce inflammation. Gluten free diet and dairy free are… helping to reduce the pain and bacteria in your body. People with this condition have to use trial and error to find the foods that effect their pain. Pharmaceutical companies and doctors are using us to experiment their drugs because they are "practicing" medicine. While never being educated on how to back myself down on the prednisone or methotrexate while on Humira I had to ask the doctor if I should be taking all at one time because I was experiencing a toxic feeling, Megan MacNeil only said "oh yes" you can get off the methotrexate and prednisone. This RA is a serious condition however I have to listen to my body. Dr.Megan MacNeil refused to do my bloodworm this last time I recently visited her office and I was told not to come back "unless I was ready to get on one of the drugs she is pushing". After continuing her drug cocktail regiment for since 2006 I WILL NOT BE BACK!

I went to Dr. ONeill because I had back pain that would not go away. She was able to diagnose my problem and I received physical therapy that has reduced the pain by 90% . Thank you, Dr. ONeill!

Excellent practical knowledge of arthritis and treatment.

5 years with this doctor. Thought this doctor cared. Needed help with my illness during a severe flare up and she could have cared less. Not a good time to find this out. Can not recommend her to anyone.

I have been under Dr MacNeil for over 5yrs. She is very professional. what I like the most about her is she is caring and always very pleasant. We hav some good laughs while getting my check up.. I enjoy my visits. She is awlays trying to help me feel better and yet she is aware of insurance cost on meds and such.. She makes me aware of all changes if any. I have sent some people to her. I have been seeing Dr. MacNeil for two years and she has been extremely attentive and caring. I have had no issues at all with her. I have always been seen in a very timely manner. Most times before I can complete the questionnaire. She monitors labs and x-rays, and if anything is abnormal her office calls me.

Would not recommend. Saw this doctor for the first time and she was not pleasant. She is very cold and clinical. I was treated like "just" another number. She showed no emotion or caring towards my situation. She snaps if asked a question. She never smiled the entire time, not even when saying "Hello".

I have received care from Dr. MacNeil for five years. She is an exceptionally fine doctor and up-to-date on current practices. I am amazed with her depth of knowledge. I feel I have received the best care available anywhere.
