Dr. Megan Paulus, MD

Paulus has a terrible bedside manner. She is abrupt and condescending. She rushed me through my appointment. I was kept waiting for more than a month beforehand and more than 45 min in the waiting room. She failed to ever review my outside imaging or order any of her own despite that I presented in extreme pain and with sensory and functional deficits. (I walk with a limp and need other aids for support.) She did not evaluate my foot/ankle but rather talked AT me. She offered not a single suggestion, treatment, test, etc. Stonybrook can and should do so much better. Please go elsewhere for your foot/ankle and lower extremity medical care needs. I cannot recommend Paulus.

She met with me and did her "examination" in less than 3 minutes. She didn't seem to care what the injury was, how it happened, or what my questions were; since the xrays didn't show a break, she didn't have time for it. I was hoping to get answers on why I have recurring ankle issues, but left feeling dismissed and like I wasted my time. Apparently if she can't get a ton of $ from you, she doesn't care what's wrong. Terrible bedside manner, terrible doctor.

I was having a painful ankle problem that was effecting my rehab from knee replacement surgery. Dr Paulus diagnosed the problem quickly and provided treatment that resolved the issue within a month. She offered further options if any thing aroused in the future.

I went to Stoney brook hospital and I was so lucky to have been given Dr Megan Pauli’s office number. She did a wonderful job on my ankle surgery. I love her as a person also. She is kind, professional ,compassionate and a wonderful surgeon. I would highly recommend her to anyone with ankle problems
