Dr. Megan Frances Selvitelli, MD

I lived in Phoenix Az. In 2010 I had a brain stroke and ended up at the Barrow Institute in Phoenix for 3 months. The top Neurologists there diagnosed me with CNS Vasculitis and MS. I moved to Maine in the fall of 2011. I didn't have insurance but was qualify for care-partners. And Dr Selvitelli was the only neurologist who took it. So when I meant her and I gave her my medical records from my Neurologist in Phoenix. I was 28 when I moved to Maine. She looked at my records and looked at me and simple said You're too young to be diagnosed with these. She basically stopped all my medications that I was taking for my MS and for my CNS Vasculitis. She said I'll treat you for your migraines. My MS got worse over the years. In 2018, I finally have health insurance. Turns out I now have primary progressive MS. I take OCREVUS an IV infusion every 6 months that destroys my immune system. I see a MS specialist who only treats rare autoimmune diseases. She also treats the CNS Vasculitis with IV… of prednisone. So thanks to ms. Selvitelli. She is by far the WORST

Very kind and polite. Felt very comfortable with her the very first appointment. Follows through with what she says and office help was great.

Dr Selvitelli was great. She listened, was compassionate, and thorough. Made us feel at ease. Very smart and caring doctor. Would highly recommend her.

I saw Megan when she was in Boston, I was thrilled when she transferred to Maine. However, since her transfer a year ago, her care for her patients have dropped. She has admitted that she doesn't have the one on one time like she used to down in Mass and that she relies on her staff to do most things. She has prescribed medications that I'm allergic to, even after she knew I was allergic, very careless, pushes these meds and doesn't care about followups, so I asked for a follow up appointment, sure, I can get in to see her...in 4 1/2 months! My primary care doctor has been on top of everything, she has not. She's reckless and careless, if you are considering going, use caution...I speak from experience, and now I have more medical issues due to her negligence.
