As a provider of women's health care, I feel privileged to be able to interact with women of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds. From the time I was a teenager, I knew I wanted to be able to work with women and help to address many of the issues that are unique to women's health care. I strongly believe in a whole person approach to medicine, which includes addressing not only the medical concerns of a patient, but the emotional, social, and spiritual concerns as well. By offering medical treatments as an alternative to surgery for a variety of conditions, many gynecologic problems can be managed effectively. However, for medical conditions that do require surgical intervention, I strive to offer minimally invasive approaches to surgery whenever feasible. I believe that female health care providers can offer a unique degree of empathy for their patients, especially in the setting of obstetrics and gynecology.
