Dr. Melissa Theobald Barrett, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Barrett's for 26 yrs. For probably the first 10 yrs. she was pretty good. However, after updating their computer systems, every time she'd come into the room all she'd do is go through a list of questions from the computer and barely even glance at me, the patient. So, I started seeing the nurse practitioner, Melissa Larkin who was amazing, but she left for orthopaedics. I then saw nurse practitioner Angela Arnold. She had always been kind and caring. However, about a year ago, it seems as though she stopped caring about anything I had to say or caring about me as a patient. The last time I was in the office, I saw Dr. Barrett. She is the most uncaring and rude physician I've ever encountered. She cared nothing about my concerns or complaints. I saw both Dr. Barrett and Angela for back pain. They both kept telling me it was muscular. Wouldn't do a peer to peer with the insurance co. to get an mri unless I did physical therapy first. I did that, and she still… wouldn't do it to get an mri. I finally went to see the orthopaedic who got an mri done. I have scoliosis of the spine, bone on bone discs, 4 bulging discs and more. I would NEVER recommend anyone going to this doctor or her nurse practitioner. I was and am still very hurt and disappointed at the way I've been treated in the last year by these two providers.

The very best doctor ever! She is very thorough, kind, and really cares about her patients. I'd rate her even higher if the system allowed me to! 1st rate!

Dr. Barrett is a very caring and thorough physician and I feel like she always takes time with me. After twenty years, I am greatful to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Barrett is my physician, and also takes care of several other family members. She is the most compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough doctor I have ever met. I feel very comfortable with her, and always feel that I am in good hands.

Dr. Barrett is a great doctor. I really believe that she cares about her patients. I have had some good and some not so good experience with the office staff. The people in the lab are great too.

Dr. Barrett is great it's just the waiting time that I don't like.
